  1. Yes but I have thought for a long time that Malky will potentially make a good manager one day. He is an impressive character and would have the respect of the players i''m sure. I agree though he would need his coaching qualifications!
  2. Someone I know swears he was at the game on Sunday as well plus articles in the nZ press indicate he was due to travel back on Thursday which would make it possible for him to have been there.   Delia denied it at the press conference this morning though. Personally i think it would be a fantastic coup if we got him but I think its a very long shot as he''s likely to be hanging out for a bigger job!
  3. I certainly think that those who travle to watch us away are more hardline in their views. i think that you actaully have to be there to believe how bad we are in some of our away games. I''m not sure that Radio Norfolk do it justice (particularly Neil Adams) nor do you see first hand how inactivbe worthington is whilst slumped in his dugout or how cr*p some of the teams we lose to actually are. I suspect that the protesters will therefore include many who travel away but will not just be them. I genuinely believe that there are probably less than 10% of our fans now who think Worthington should still be in the job.
  4. Just out of interest blah, blah, blah how many away games do you get to? I have a theory that most worthy apologists only watch us at home hence they have a slightly distorted view of Nigels managerial abilities.
  5. But you miss my point entirely Blah, blah, blah.   Notwithstanding the fact that there are lots of managers either avialable or whom we could poach who have better records than worthington or more potential, my point is that regardless of his record, his relationship with the majority of the fanbase is now so bad as to be irretrievable. It is not going to change and until he goes the club will continue to suffer!
  6. They are in danger of making a right mess of this. As you say his departure in the short to medium term is now inevitable but we find ourseleves in some kind of uncomfortable limbo. Through their actiosn the board have forced a number of fans to consider the unthinkable - actually wanting norwich to lose on Sunday - and that is simply not acceptable. They need to be decisive and not keep prolonging the agony in this way!
  7. But the whole point now is that it has, in many ways, gone beyond a simple matter of whether the results or performances improve. Thier is now a huge divide between the management of the club (and to a lesser extent the board) that will not be closed whilst worthington remians our manager. Personally I think there are enough footballing reasons why worthington should be sacked (him being inept being the main one) but for me the harmony of the club and not losing the support of a large chunk of the fanbase is equally important. Can those (2 or 3) of you still saying you think worthy should stay genuinely put your hand on your hearts and say that he is so good a manager that it is worth tearing the club apart in order to keep him?
  8. What a load of utter rubbish.   The only reason the vast majority of people are calling for Worthington to go is because they care deeply about the fortunes of their football club and can see it falling apart in front of their eyes. Simple as that!   You are just resorting to insults because you can see the end is nigh for your golden boy Mr Worthington!
  9. But the whole thing of pinning it on these games is ridiculous. What happens if we go out and play brilliantly? it proves nothing at all and won''t change my mind one bit nor that of most other people I know. All it will do is show up how badly the team and management have been performing previously. It is too late and he has to go whatever happens in our next two games.
  10. This has clearly been doctored by Ipswich fans who are gloating over on their board. please could the archant boys confirm that this poll (the EN one) will not be held up and quoted in the papers tomorrow as being representative of fan opinion. It was about 95% out before they got wind of its existence.
  11. Vince Are Archant doing anything (or can they do anything) to prevent this poll being rigged by ipswich fans going on there voting for him to stay because that is sure to happen when they get wind of it?
  12. I just wondered if NCISA has any plans to issue a new statement regarding Worthington''s position this week. I can only assume that you have received numerous emails and comments from fans following recent performances?
  13. I am as big an NCFC fan as there is but on saturday after we went 2 down I wanted them to score more and for the long term future of NCFC it may not be a bad thing for us to lose on Sunday.
  14. The whole point you ignore though kid is that is has been absolutely obvious to everyone that the squad was too samll and dangerously thin in certain areas yet what has worthington or the board done about it. Sat on their backsides for 2 months in the summer and then on the eve of the transfer deadline try and bring in an 18 year old winger for £2 million that we don''t even really need!   Its laughable. I will not accept injuries as an excuse this season when we have had every opportunity to avoid being in the situation we are in now. Worthington was given a reprieve last season when he should have been sacked and instead of taking it has gambled with the future of our club again byhedging all his bets on short term loans to tide us over. All these loans will do is use up the transfer budget between now and january and we won''t have a better squad to show for it at the end. I despair of our club at the moment I really do. It is so obvious to the majority of fans what needs to happen that i find the fact the board remain so entrenched dumfounding!
  15. No we didn''t put a bid in. We did our usual trick of phoning them up and asking if they woudl sell him to us and when they said no we siad "oh, sorry to have bothered you then" and turned our attention elsewhere. perhaps if we''d put a hrd bid in though their attitude may have been different!
  16. I don''t care what the KTF brigade may say about who the WOs are. I have been going home and away every week for several seasons now and know all the regular faces who are the people i would consider to be our most hardcore support. Of that support i can tell you that they are overwhelmingly opposed to Nigel Worthington. The truth is that the Worthington out brigade are the most loyal and vocal fans that NCFC has and it is precisely because we care that we are prepared to stand up and make our point to the club. I for one have found it immensely painful to see the way that the club has wasted a genuine opportunity to re-establish itself in the top flight over the last 3 seasons and to see the same mistakes made over and over again by a manager who has shown himself to be incompetent in many ways That is why we are so vocal in our protests. not because we want the club to fail but because we believe the club can do better than it is and is being held back at the moment.
  17. I will not accept that I am wrong until i see some evidence that Worthington has what it takes to turn our away from round and get results away from home. Home form has never been a problem so whilst the performances at home this season have been most welcome, they do not address the fundamnetal issue that has been holding us back.   6 wins in the last 46 away games tells you all you need to know and this season its 2 defeats in 3 again!
  18. marty Why do we need to change the mentality of people? Football has been this way for many years and some of us actually like going to the match and letting off a bit of steam through shouting, swearing etc. I''m not talking about racism here but you sanitise football too much and you will lose most of its traditional support base which will not be a good thing for the game.
  19. Perhaps you could enlighten me as to why others imposing their ideas on us is so great?
  20. My point was not so much the swearing but more that someone should be banned from the ground for having a swastika or Combat 18 tattoo and that is something I would find totally unacceptable as I believe strongly in the right to free speech. Even if we find someone''s views abhorrent they are entitled to have them and express them to a degree. I always find it ironic that it is supposedly the most liberal sections of our society that call for such political organisations as the BNP to be banned!   As for the swearing i think its a case of fact and degree. If you are sitting in the lower barclay or the snakepit or even in parts of the Jarrold stand near the away fans I think that you have to accept that swearing goes with the territory. I swear like a trooper at the football - always have doen and always will do. The day i''m banned for so doing will be a sad day as it will just be another step along the route to the american football crowd style giant foam hands and cheerleaders. There are a lot of football fans out there who love going to the football because the atmosphere has an adge to it and sadly that is being lost! I''m all for encouraging children to go to the games as they are the future supporters of NCFC but there is a place in the ground for them and that is in the family areas.
  21. What precisely are you expecting the stewards to do about the fact two blokes have right wing tattoos? Are you suggesting they should be banned from Carrow Road because of their political allegiance?
  22. Of course Norwich has a few hooligans as does every club. i would have thought 10-15 year olds is a bit young though and if they scared the cr*p out of you and thought they looked like they meant business then I can only assume you are very young! Norwich certainly does not have a hooligan problem though - just a few lads who would not say no if a bit of trouble came their way. i can only really recall us truning out for a few big games in recent years.
  23. Absolute nonsense Ralph and once again illustrating the attitude of those who still back Worthington which appears to be that they are the "true fans" and the rest of us are some kind of trouble causing rabble. I''m afraid to say that this "rabble" you talk of is the majority of our fanbase and, so far as i can see, many of the most loyal elements of our fanbase. I have a home and away season ticket and over the last 3 or 4 years have probably missed no more than 7 or 8 matches. I know many more like me and they are allof the same opinion on this subject, and that of worthingtons continued tenure at the club. At the NCISA meeting i attended i recognised virtually all the fans there and they were all long standing supporters whom I have seen on the terraces watching norwich home and away for many years. In contrast, apart from the NCISA committee member Peter somebody who, to be fair, has always remained pro worthington and who has consistently expressed his views (whioch he is entitled to) at AGMs and forums i have been to I have not yet met any fans I know or even recognise from matches who are pro worthington. I''m sure there are some but there are not very many.   So to dismiss fans who want worthington out as a rabble of Whingers, whiners and moaning minnies is offensive and shows the type of arrogance that worthington himself displays all to often. Most of these people are NCFCs most loyal and passionate fans.
  24. Two relevant points spring to mind here: 1. Ok Blah if this is just another case of everyone looking for a stick to beat worthington with then ask yourself why every such opportunity to do so is taken with such relish by the fans? the reason is because the relationship between the manager and the supporters has broken down to such an extent that it is now irrepairable. That in itself is as good a reason as is needed for Worthington to have been sacked because whilst he remains at the club we will never again see that "togetherness" that the board holds so close to their hearts.   2. Of course Sutton would not take a pure pay as you play deal and would want a basic wage but a one year deal with a relatively modest basic wage and bonuses linked to the number of games he plays would not have been a major risk for the football club and could have reaped hansome dividends. in my view Sutton will be a class apart as a target man in this division and the perfect foil for earnshaw. that we have refused to even speak with him or his agent to see if something can be done is absolutely criminal, particularly given worthingtons constant quotes that he wants a targetman and that there is nothing else out there in the lower divisions.
  25. They can get on with their job all they like but if they continue to ignore the wishes of the fans to the degree they have been over the last two seasons then in the long run there will only be one winner of the fight!   Mark my words if Sutton is even vaguely successful for ipswich and we are not pushing for promotion then Worthington will not recover from this.
