  1. Allegedly............ https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55410816
  2. Yes, I agree with that - he was ball watching for half a second and in that half a second the WBA player nipped in from behind him and scored. I did suspect that it was exactly how you describe it, i.e. that he has become a scapegoat and that any goal they concede is automatically blamed on him irrespective of whether it was actually his fault or not.
  3. Is it item 1 on the right wing posters to do list? Use the phrase "rammed down your throat" at each and every possible opportunity? Wow - 15 whole seconds - 15 whole seconds where you can chat to your mates, look at your phone, sing On the Ball City. Poor little right wing snowflakes having to do what they normally do before a match for 15 whole seconds.
  4. Oh look - he's making loads of stuff up again.
  5. Which as you well know is totally irrelevant to the point I was making.
  6. Funny - I don't recall you posting to protest about having to stand for a minute's silence for the home match nearest to Remembrance Sunday.
  7. Yes, he was - he was also sub for us in the Sheffield Wednesday game in the Championship two seasons ago.
  8. Eh? I didn't watch the game, but I've watched the highlights - I really don't see that the Brentford goal is Lewis's fault.
  9. Precisely the sort of authoritarianism that Mr Carrow has been talking about. Funnily enough it was directed against those protesting against racism.
  10. You keep trotting this stuff out, but it's totally irrelevant to what's under discussion here. As far as I'm aware nobody is accusing Zimbo of being a racist - therefore people who support the kneeling protest ARE allowing space for neutrality or indecision. The authoritarianism came from the those who actively booed the taking the knee protest. They could have stayed silent, chatted to their mates, or fiddled with their phones during the massive 15 seconds that it took place - but they didn't - they booed loudly thereby trying to intimidate those taking part in the protest. It's blindingly obvious where the authoritarianism here is coming from isn't it?
  11. Your usual rubbish Daly. The vast majority of players wish to continue the protest. Nobody is accusing Zimbo of being a racist. You're just making things up again aren't you?
  12. Not sure how up to date the Swiss Ramble piece is, but if it's bang up to date then it's even more a case of thanks Godders. 😉
  13. Hopefully it never comes to it, but it's worth pointing out that any club offering us a fee which we are prepared to sell Emi for will probably be offering us double what any club top of the Championship has ever been offered for one of their players before.
  14. Could be what caused the situation in the first place....... if you follow my drift 😉
  15. Hard to know exactly how the club rate all our huge pipeline of goalies, but could be argued that he will be behind Oxborough when he is fit again and is also behind Archie Mair who is already out on loan playing mens football - so is sixth in line.
  16. Yes, agree with the above comments. Wolves were worthy winners and well in control until the last 10 minutes or so when Rowe and Kamara came on and both looked really lively. As ever with the age group games it may well have been the case that our lads were up against players who were a year or two older - we routinely field teams who are very young for their age group - e.g. lots of 18 year olds playing in U-23 games etc.
  17. So when hundreds of thousands of people march against nuclear weapons, or against the Iraq war, or against leaving the E.U or whatever particular cause, it isn't a protest because there's an awful lot of people doing it?????????????????
  18. We are letting in fewer goals this season in the Championship than two seasons ago. We are also scoring fewer goals this season in the Championship than two seasons ago. This is NOT a coincidence and the reasons why are glaringly obvious.
  19. You're right about the common denominator in defence in the last two seasons - his name is Tim Krul 😠 His name is also Max Aarons - 😠 His name is also Jamal Lewis - 😠
  20. As I say I rate Maddison more highly at the present time - but I totally agree with you that Buendia is an absolute joy to watch at the moment and that it's been fantastic to see him suddenly burst into goalscoring form again in the last few matches including with goals from outside the box which hadn't been a part of his game up to now. There also seem to have been some signs in recent games that Emi is managing his temperament better which is something he needed to improve. So, no, I wouldn't say Maddison is in a different league to Emi, but overall I think he's a better player at the present time. As an aside, I was thinking that Emi was a couple of years younger than Maddison so had a bit of time to catch up as it were, but in fact Maddison is only 32 days older than Emi.
  21. Justin Fashanu against Liverpool. It wasn't just the fantastic volley - there was also a good team passing move in the build up (take note Purple Canary 😉 ), but also the gorgeous flick up on the turn. He got the ball with his back to goal so for that reason I rate it more highly than Tettey's wonder strike against Sunderland.
  22. Agree with all of your post Hank up until the last line. He's literally not in the same league as Maddison at the moment of course. And he's not in the same league as a player - yet - but if he carries on improving hopefully he will be. (although Emi has a long, long way to go to be in the same league as Maddison at the dead ball stuff).
  23. And this from the Guardian's 10 Premier League Talking Points from this weekend - contrasting Godfrey with Arsenal's £72 million signing Nicolas Pepe. The contrast was encapsulated in the battle between Ben Godfrey and Nicolas Pépé. Everton’s summer signing from Norwich, a right‑sided central defender by trade, has been deployed as a makeshift left-back in the absence of Lucas Digne. Resolute and determined, the 22-year-old was one reason Arsenal’s second-half improvement did not yield too many problems for Jordan Pickford. Pépé’s performance was another. He wilted in the face of Godfrey’s opposition.
  24. Mumba certainly can - he played there for us in the cup game at Luton early in the season and did very well. Sorenson is right footed so I'm sure he could do just as well if not better at right back than he has done at left back. And Sam McCallum has been playing on the right for Coventry this season I believe (even though he is left footed).
  25. We're top of the League, five points ahead and have just won our last five matches in a row. There you go Kiwiscot.
