1. Thought Maddison and Reed looked very good yesterday. Didn''t really miss Howson in there.
2. A great start to the season last week - well done everybody especially Cosmic - lets hope we can continue the trend. This week I''m taking Mansfield who having appointed Steve Evans will be looking to push on this season to beat newly promoted Forest Green Rovers who threw away a 2 goal lead last week. MANSFIELD V Forest Green Home win. For the City game I''m confident of 3 points on Sunday and with a week behind us I''ll take Maddison to score in a 2-0 win. Good luck all.
3. It''s great to be back on this thread and thanks to Nutty for all his hard work in keeping this going My offer for cosmic is Oxford to beat Oldham (away win) For the Match bet sorry but I can only see a home win and at even money I think it''s very good value too. Good luck to both pickers
4. I just stumbled across this, not a bad result for us again. http://talksport.com/football/championship-201718-stadiums-power-ranking-every-clubs-ground-worst-best-170629244766?p=18 What do you all think?
5. IMO Howson is a little bit like Adam Drury you always expect a 7/10 type of performance and then every now and then a 8 or 9 shows up. He has good energy and technically I think he is as good as anybody we have but he isn''t irreplaceable and if he doesn''t want to commit his future here (ie extend his current contract) then we have a decision to make and if loading him for 5-7.5 million gives us the money to attract 2 or 3 other players here then it has to be considered good business for all concerned. I''m sure he will make some kind of impact at whatever club he goes to but it really wouldn''t worry me massively if he ended up at one of our championship rivals.
6. well done Alex and only 2mins after the fixtures were released :-)
7. Don''t be to hard on McGovern. I was driving past Carrow Road the other day and spotted him holding a conversation - the first time I''ve seen him hold anything.
8. Very difficult this week, with so many games being end of season friendly''s - Burnley have secured premiership football next season and don''t travel well so could easily be on the beach at Bournemouth. Bournemouth V Burnley Home win. Good luck to all, and special thanks to NN for keeping this thread going in the manner in which it is. Have a great summer break all.
9. I''m sure the pair weren''t sitting openly in the bar having a chat, it would almost certainly have been held in a private room. Most hotels would have a degree of privacy by staff and it''s likely that Webber and A.N Other didn''t enter the building together. This is information that although not "spilling the beans" is of interest to a fair few posters and I for one would prefer to know this. so Thanks Norfolk.
10. There are some cracking games in League 2 this weekend with no less than the top 12 still able to gain a play off place. with numerous sides going head to head. I''m going to take Exeter who really only need a point to beat Carlisle who have probably the longest journey of the season and must win to have a chance so must push forward. Exeter v Carlisle Home win For the match bet Oliveria looks sharp again so I''ll take him to score the first goal in a 3-0 win (with Ruddy & Bennett to be subbed in the 2nd half ) Good luck snake eye
11. And this is why, I''m not renewing my season ticket not because I''ve gone off Norwich City, but the wages for very average players are ridiculous. I can invest my money better elsewhere.
12. NO not McGovern at No1 or our season will be over before it''s started!!!
13. Some of the Ipswich fans I know reckon that their keeper is premier league standard - I haven''t seen him often enough to make an opinion on him but he does look quite able.
14. NN as suggestion, where''s Kev aka Leeds he would be e great person to finish the season on a high by picking the game bets.
15. If they dock them points - which they won''t- it might let Dirty Leeds in through the back door - so it''s a no from me.
16. I know we don''t do sorry''s on this thread and with a pick rate of around 55% I suppose 3 from 6 was a likely out come, Gutted that Fulham took the lead and then missed a penalty - why didn''t they do that a few weeks ago? Brighton, probably think they have done the job (which I suppose they have) so have taken their foot off the gas. Great to have a chance to pick the final 6 and thanks to all you pup;s for your selections.
17. Good evening Pup''s before deciding on my picks I just needed to see the result from tonight, with Newcastle winning this means Brighton need to win to clinch the title, Every team have something to play for so "our six" for this week are; Brighton V Bristol City Home win 8/13 Fulham V Brentford Home win 8/15 Carlisle V Newport 6/5 (my pick) Livingston V Peterhead Home win 8/13 Monaco v Toulouse Home win 1/4 Fleetwood V Port Vale Home win 7/10 Now it''s fingers cross and let hope for a little bit of lady luck on our side. Thank you all for the suggestions
18. Thanks to everybody for the suggestions - i will be back later this evening with my selections. Please get your selections in for consideration asap.
19. Thanks for that gracious introduction and I look forward to trying to add a few pounds in to the PUPs coffers for CSF. Looking through the fixtures and the time of the season, I''m going to need all the help I can get so come on everybody give me your opinion. For Cosmic I''d love nothing more than seeing City put the final nail into the Leeds promotion coffin. and think the first goal will be critical. I''ll take Oliveria to nick this and help us to a enjoyable away day. Good luck all and I''ll be back on Friday afternoon/evening.
20. Given time he may of rebuilt us in the championship just like he did Newcastle and now Brighton but the "Fans" demanded change and he left - he has picked himself up and started again, before you boo the guy tonight, think the fact it''s Brighton and not us in this position may of been our own fault/impatience? My opinion is we made our choice - now be graceful and applaud the man and his team for achieving something we couldn''t. - it appears that Norwich fans are always bitter towards ex players and managers.
21.
I would have liked to have picked draws at Laval (21/10) or Kohn (5/2) but they are both tomorrow night (£100+ double for a £10 stake?). So, with apologies to TGD, I''m going for a Huddersfield-Fulham draw (at 12/5).For the Norwich bet and only because the odds are attractive, Brighton to win 3-1 (at 20/1).Good luck 93Vintage, Greavsy and everyone else.
Now''s the time to back the home win :-)
22. A massive game at the top of the Championship, with Huddersfield V Fulham - if Fulham don''t win this one then I can see them missing out on the play offs, whereas Huddersfield although they have a slim chance of catching Newcastle I can''t see it so Huddersfield V Fulham Away win For the match bet Brighton wont be coming to Carrow road to defend and we are better against slightly more open teams - I can see this one ending in a score draw.
