1. That means we might be on the telly on Saturday before Arsenal, Manure and Liverpool. put that in you''re pipe and smoke it Lineaker.
2. I''ve got to admit I was never Bradley biggest fan -but we desperately need a man of his stature at this moment, a player who will get the crowd going by winning a 40/60 tackle in midfield and show a little bite & fight. I watched last night when we needed a foot in to put Leeds off their stride there as nobody. we have plenty of players but they all seem a little bit the same type, where''s our man of steel?
3. in fairness - Tilly Oliviera took a good one too. Not sure what Pritchard was trying to do though, one of the worst I''ve ever seen, thought the keeper should of held it to really humiliate him.
4. We finally have the right man taking our penalties.
5.
Completely agree. I just feel embarrassed tonight. They had 10 men for ages due to them using all their subs. Can''t hold out again. Neil is out of his depth. Lessons aren''t being learned. Coaching isn''t effective.
Out of his depth!! check the record books. - We are having a bad patch and this is when supporter should support it''s so easy to whinge. - things are not rosy, far from it, but one man isn''t to blame.
6. I think some of the players really believe they just need to turn up to win, we''ll get nothing without hard work and that seems to be lacking off the ball.
7. What a crazy game/career football is thank goodness we don''t have a "sack''em" mentally at our club. - Conspiracy theory No1 - Moxley has approach Zenga with an eye on ANs job. places tongue firmly into cheek
8. I have just seen watched the highlights from Saturday, and the free kick at the end of the game ( when Cameron got bought down) at the time the wall didn''t look anywhere near the 10 yards and looking again the ball is about 2 yards outside the box (18 yards from goal) yet the wall is in front of the penalty spot (12 yards from the goal) I saw Wes pace it out and speak to the ref at the time ... so why we didn''t we insist on the wall going back before taking it? It''s at about 4.20 on this linkhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLpaMAIakk8
9. There main threat comes from set pieces, so for me we need to defend these well from the start so I''d put in some height and ariel ability - I''m a great fan of Pinto(the thinking man Otsemerbor, but his ariel ability worries me. Ruddy Martin, Bennett, Klose, Olsson Tettey, Dorrans Ja Murphy, Wes, Pritchard Jerome I image the actual team will be very close to the last match?
10. Scunthorpe suffered a shock defeat in mid week but I can''t see them slipping up against Chesterfield at the weekend. Chesterfield v Scunthorpe away win. For the match bet, this could be a real test for us against an in form team. and although I would expect our quality to just get us over this line I''m not expecting the easy game we had against Rotherham last week (cough) My bet would be HT Draw FT Norwich.
11.
So. One change. Brady back in for Pritchard. Otherwise the same team. Good subs bench.
as mentioned in an earlier post...on this thread that would be the only change.
12. My take on goalkeeping is that 90% of their contribution is positioning and communication. if a goalkeeper makes no full length diving saves (Camera Saves) is he a poor keeper or one who has potentially better positioning and understands his angles? If he can keep his concentration and get this bit right then he can communicate with the rest of the team and make sure they are in the right position by being the eyes in the back of their heads. Combine those two attributes and you have very good keeper. And that is why I would prefer JR as although far from perfect he seems better in these areas.
13. You may be right, or it could be lack of communication from or confidence in the goalkeeper or numerous other things. As I say I''m not having a go at MM ( or I would of also mentioned hesitation causing !) I personally would prefer to see JR back as number 1.
14. I don''t accept that Lakey, - I accept that the modern ball moves more but that''s the ball they train with so you can still learn to parry sideways you" Just" adjust the angle of the hands or the angle of attack at the ball - I''m not particularly having a go at McGovern I would just prefer Ruddy at the moment, as we are leaking too many goals.
15. Herman, I wouldn''t expect anybody to push a ball away at 1000mph but there again I don''t anyone who can hit a ball anywhere near that speed either. For a professional goalkeeper I would expect them to be able to push away not back and IMO McGovern weakness is that he parry''s far to much and not convincingly. As for do I think Pritchard should be drop the answer is no. but I thought the question was what WILL be the team not what team would I go with? apologises if I''ve miss read or understood the OP.
16. Brady in for Pritchard WILL BE the only change. Personally I''d bring in Ruddy until McGovern learns to either hold the ball or parry it sideways but it won''t happen.
17. Nutty, maybe a copy of this thred should be sent to AN each week so he can make his substitutions with us Pups in mind. very unlucky Jellytot, and you didnt even get a touch of the match ball this week either. well done Nanna - it made the match all the more exciting.
18. As I have a particular sweet tooth, the pickers this week are 2 of my favourites! so I''m going to give them a chance to win big. For Jellytot, I think with all the turmoil at Derby and the astonishing re appointment of Steve McClaren, they entertain a rival from the 70''s and a team in form in Leeds at a very tempting 4/1 I''ll take Leeds to walk away with the points Derby v Leeds away win. For "My little Boy" Nana - who we bought his first season ticket holder 13 years ago! - where does the time go- I''m pretty sure Klose will be rested or ruled out of this one and after the performance at St James Park, I think AN will give Ryan Bennett the shirt so Ill take Ryan Bennett to score anytime at 11/1 and if he doesn''t play then its a no bet. Good luck to both picker and to the boys in yellow
19. Batten down the hatches Blurboy, - we look forward to seeing at the other end. best of luck.
20. I thought I''d gone for a long shot until I saw Duncan''s offering, Hartlepool V Crawley - away win at a miserly 11/4 Good luck Apples.
21. KIO (& partner) congratulations. glad to hear the news - a word of warning though - your daughter will probably break many fellas hearts through her years but yours will be the first. best wishes and enjoy her.
22. Carlisle to beat Colchester for me this week. good luck Tilly-I''m happy for a speech as I missed the last one - and can make sure I miss the next one too. For The match bet Can see us keeping a clean sheet and we always look like scoring goals so 0-2 with Dorans chipping in with a goal. Good luck Snake Eyes.
23. But he''s not got a job if the owner is doing the job for him Indy, he just has employment. As you say better off out of it if true - I would imagine there is a lot of sympathy for him from other "managers"
24. For me Shelvey could be the danger man, we could do with getting in his face to unsettle him, give him time on the ball and suspect he will hurt us. Just watched the NUFC Fans TV and they are very worried about Jacob Murphy''s threat and say the left back is Dummet is great going forward so interesting down our right flank. Possible that they may have to play a make shift right back - which may suit Olsson and Brady. I''ll go for a 1-1 then bet Wolves.
25.
Thread on TWTD saying they''d have Big Sam.Yup.
Birds of a feather .. they say morty, Imagine Big Sam and Marcus Evans everything by the book with them two.
