  1. Villa would have been happy to keep him, but as they've just spent £37m on Maatsen and not able to shift either one of Digne or Moreno yet, it was deemed unfair to hold the lad back. He's easily good enough for the Championship with a high ceiling to improve further. ....and Villa aren't too desperate to raise funds for PSR any more, they're bringing in plenty of money from sales and I wouldn't have thought the fee for Chrisene will be tipping the scales either way.....
  2. C'mon you Canaries ! Send these tosspots to L1 where they belong.....
  3. Cheers mate, send him back if you're not convinced.......you can just keep thinking Cantwell's your saviour. As it happens, this lad is quality but still growing into the game, not sure if this is the right move for the kid. With Carney Chuk heading off to Chelsea B, Aaron might have been better hanging around for Premier League minutes rather than dropping down.
  4. Dirty Blues definitely want to hang on to Hernandez, irrespective of whether Bowyer gets the sack next week as widely rumoured locally. If the proposed takeover goes ahead, don't be surprised if they come back in for him...
  5. I would think the likes of Traore, El Ghazi and Trezeguet have more to fear from the signing of Coutinho. Gerrard evidently rates Emi highly and would imagine that room will be made for both to play with only one of Watkins or Ings up top, as trying to play both Ings and Watkins together didn't work under Deano....
  6. ...not with his contract running out. January 31st, he'll be somewhere like Palace for £10m....
  7. Gone now. Carrick in interim charge......presumably they're waiting for Zidane to pass his GCSE English exam ?
  8. Smith since his Brentford days, has his teams playing out from the back....be surprised if he changed that methodology now, unless he doesn't think he has the players to do it ?
  9. Smith easily....he's an honest, hard working guy not afraid to get his hands dirty. Lampard strikes me as the kind of guy who can't believe Barcelona haven't come knocking...
  10. I'll never understand why people think that 'the ungiven goal' would have relegated Villa. If it was given, they might hsve gone up the other end and scored 5....they may never have scored again...who knows ? But to pick out one incident with about 12-14 games to go, is nonsensical to be fair....
  11. Wouldn't have thought there was much in it....both had 2 full seasons, this would have been their 3rd ?
  12. Lets be honest, whatever is or isn't happening at Villa, they'll be nowhere near the bottom 3 come the end of the season...
  13. Smith is most likely here to get immediate promotion next season - staying up this season would be an absolute bonus....
