  1. Anyone else having trouble with live stream? Keeps freezing momentarily every few seconds for me. It's usually fine. Very annoying
  2. Definitely not. But how he stayed on for 90 minutes is beyond me. He's a decent impact player as a late sub, but should never be a starter.
  3. Easy winner. Definitely a good omen!
  4. Knappers Hill runs in the 1.50 at Wincanton! Surely a winner?
  5. Player Of The Season when he left. Can't believe you used that vintage Dracula line. Shameful 🙄
  6. What's happened to the ITV Saturday evening EFL programme? No studio, no pundits and no match analysis - and, as for the highlights of our match, blink and you'll have missed it. Telly on the cheap, and 20 minutes shorter than last season too. Their two-year deal ends this season, so hopefully someone else will pick up the rights next season and make a much better job of it. The Championship, in particular, is a great competition and deserves much better.
  7. Fine by me. You need a bit of grit in the oyster to produce a pearl.
  8. How can you support two league clubs? Outrageous behaviour.
  9. O'Neil should have got the manager of the season for comfortably keeping up the weakest playing squad in the division. But he'll getting two years' pay and a position at a good Championship club. Sadly it won't be NCFC. Would be great if he succeeded and those overblown minnows on the South Coast came tumbling down.
  10. Hopefully this will kick start the Attanasio revolution. We badly need someone to start steering this badly drifting ship back in the right direction after what have been two disastrous seasons. Most clubs would have shown Webber the door 12 months ago, and any compensation would have been money well spent. Recruitment has been dire and the last two managerial appointments appalling. I've always thought Webber had far too much power at the club anyway; he became very arrogant and prone to controversial comments virtually every time he deigned to give an interview. It never seemed to me that he actually knew very much about the game. Soccer Bots and swimming pools are all very well, but true success is judged by results and performances on the pitch and, let's face it, these have been dire. Surely it makes more sense to split his job in two, with a chief executive in charge of non-football matters and a football director responsible for putting ,together a first class recruitment team to match the excellent off-field facilities, and to support a young, hungry and upwardly mobile head coach who can actually inspire the team. That obviously isn't Wagner - a thoroughly decent man but sadly, like Smith, a coach on the downward slope.
  11. Not too long ago Godfrey was on the fringe of the England squad and, played in the right position, he's a top half Premier League player. There's not the slightest chance of him dropping into the Championship.
  12. The Betfair betting exchange hasn't opened the Championship market yet, so it's hard to see where the money is really going. The traditional bookies have a big over-round on their markets so that they can take plenty of profit from mug punters; I reckon City's true price will be between 20 to 25, with relegation around 30. A pretty fair reflection of how things pan out at the moment, I would say.
