  1. One of Sargent's weaknesses is that he isn't quick.
  2. Sargent is regarded as lacking pace and dribbling skills to get past defenders. He has been playing on the right (and left) rather than being the main central striker. He is more defensive minded than a typical winger.
  3. The season starts next Saturday and the squad still has the same weaknesses.
  4. I guess the club thought it was a good offer for a player not good enough for the PL and could use the money to try to sign someone who might be.
  5. BJ's was a good championship player but passing wasn't up to PL standards.
  6. Andros Townsend has a terrible scoring record and is lightweight.
  7. A) Too much reliance upon Pukki to score goals. B) Haven't got any solid defensive midfielders. C) Need central defenders who are better in the air. D) Lack of full-backs.
  8. Tories pitch Young v old, rich v poor, black v white etc to divide people. If the general public were not so distracted then they would be questioning those in power.
  9. Tory MP Lee Anderson will continue his boycott of England games over players taking the knee, telling LBC he will miss the Euro 2020 final and unpack boxes instead.
  10. We need a central defender who is dominant in the air and a strong defensive midfielder. Billing and Ajer are neither.
  11. How about Ozan Kabak whose loan to Liverpool has expired and is due to return to his club Schalke 04 who have been relegated from the Bundesliga?
  12. £6 to £8m with a 20% sell-on would seem about right.
  13. Reminds me of when we signed Elmander who wasn't effective at doing anything in particular. Elmander had been a big signing for Bolton. Braithewaite had been a big signing for Middlesbrough. Neither was anything special and yet both then went abroad to big clubs. If I remember rightly, Elmander didn't even live in the Norwich area when here on-loan.
  14. Nick Powell plays as an AM and striker and is the Stoke player of the season. In the last year of his contract with Stoke so should be low cost.
  15. I think we are not very good at heading the ball away so would be looking to sign someone dominant at doing so.
  16. There has been talk that we might not be looking to sign a new striker. I think our survival hopes are far too dependent upon Pukki staying fit. Hugill is more of a Championship player. It is difficult to judge Idah but he lacks experience. i think we need to sign someone at least as good as Pukki else we will struggle to score enough goals.
  17. I went the last time he played at Carrow Road. It was quite a boring gig to watch as so little happens on the stage. It wasn't sold-out. I managed to get cut-price tickets. He hasn't done much new since.
  18. Yes, Billing has been average as a DCM in the Championship but played better in a more forward position.
  19. Ben Pearson cost Bournemouth only 500k because he was in the last 6 months of his contract at Preston and wanted to move. His position is the same as Skipp but he is stronger and faster than Skipp. Pearson has battling qualities that we are going to need to stay in the Premier League. Gattuso was a similar type of player.
  20. Bournemouth signed him in January hoping to play in the Premier League. As we know, if a player wants a move to play in the Premier League then they tend to get the move they want. He could easily fill the Skipp position. He cost Bournemouth only 500k as he was in last 6 months of his contract at Preston.
  21. I thought he was very good against us; good tackles, wins the ball, breaks up play, good at taking the ball from his defenders, quick, calm and composed on the ball. It seemed he also knew the dark arts of football and was a total pain to play against. https://youtu.be/9cCKZFJ8iQY https://youtu.be/b11HfkOIoqw
  22. Gunn isn't good enough to be a regular starter in the PL.
  23. The sponsorship 'mistake' has now actually reinforced the clubs good image and so now be more attractive for brands to align themselves with the club. I hope the club doesn't wreck it by having another betting company.
  24. In the interests of equality... I was regularly violently abused by a woman for years who wasn't an alcoholic. Violence by women against men is rarely talked about due to the embarrassment and it being treated far less seriously. "Battered women" in your context shows a gender bias as it can happen to anyone. https://www.channel5.com/show/when-women-abuse-men/ I would add that alcohol is actually banned from being advertised on players shirts. I would support banning gambling adverts on shirts too; but not only at Norwich City.
