  1. Having watched the video and having read all of the comments so far it seems that both parties must bear some of the responsibility and the Highway Code would seem to back that up. As for cyclists feeling unsafe, part of that must be down to the way some of them ride. I was always taught to ride my motorcycle defensively and to take particular care when approaching junctions. However, this cyclist, as often seems to be the case with the lycra-clad variety, was riding aggressively with minimal attention on the traffic around him and far too fast for the road conditions. His mate, no doubt also clad in full lycra, just happened to have his camera filming the whole incident in full Jeremy Vine style. People who like cycling are absolutely fine; I have no problem with them whatsoever. But it’s the fundamentalist bicycling zealots who tend to ride like idiots that are an absolute menace, treating every road as if it’s for their personal use and conducting their own mini Tour de France by pedalling as fast as they can and then blaming motorists when an accident happens.
  2. Yes, all clubs use this to report their attendances, although of course that really isn’t what they’re reporting at all even if they like to pretend it is. Number of tickets sold does not equal the numbers in attendance, although for away matches it’s likely to be a lot closer.
  3. Whoever might end up taking them, I’m glad it won’t be me. Last time I took one in a shoot out (at the “Singapore Soccer Sevens”) I blasted it way over the bar.
  4. He’s (and I’m pretty sure it’s a he) is simply a rather juvenile attention-seeking troll who spends his time deflecting and is probably best ignored.
  5. Fair enough, if you didn’t buy an away membership then you have little option, although I don’t see what Southampton’s ticketing arrangements have to do with the price of fish.
  6. Yes, it’s rather meaningless and disingenuous as it gives no idea of the true number of people actually in the ground. All it shows is the number of tickets sold.
  7. Always have had. Given the distances involved they have a tremendous away support and put many other clubs to shame.
  8. Tickets for the away match at Leeds are still available, nearly 11 hours after they first went on sale, so no problem for you to buy one now, unless of course you don’t actually have an away membership and didn’t go to 5 away matches last season.
  9. Only on % of capacity. Away support has definitely dwindled and presumably our poor away performances over the season have had something to do with that.
  10. Hopefully this extremist supporter of terrorism and advocate of genocide will lose both his job and his freedom. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/05/07/re-teacher-suspended-ursuline-hamas-committed-no-crime/
  11. No white people, particularly Jews, allegedly causing it so the selectively racist left don’t give a stuff.
  12. Not seen any, although I suspect some of the one-handed internet surfers on here probably will have done.
  13. Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. Take your juvenile trolling elsewhere.
  14. I’ve no idea how fast the cyclist was travelling but, despite the fact that apparently speed limits don’t apply to these lycra-clad bicycling zealots, it looked far too fast for the road conditions. The car driver would have had no chance of seeing him when turning through the stationary queue of traffic until it was far too late to do anything about it. I’m sure the Police will say it was the driver’s fault but most sensible people would put it down to the cyclist being an idiot.
  15. Racist views? What absolute cobblers which, if this message board wasn’t anonymous, would be libellous. Show me one comment I’ve made which is racist. As for Reform candidates, I’ve no idea what they said and have no interest in them. They’re nothing to do with this thread. If you want to discuss them, start a new thread.
  16. When was he elected as a councillor representing an allegedly serious political party? Clearly a very large amount of support in some constituencies for the likes of Mothin Ali.
  17. An interesting piece about him and others of his ilk: https://www.spiked-online.com/2024/05/06/the-poison-of-islamic-sectarianism/
  18. Speaking of racists, and getting back to the subject of this thread, I see Mothin Ali is now being investigated by the Green Party.
  19. Presumably you’re still finding it hard to accept that there can be more than one person who isn’t an extremist far-left Islamist-apologist.
  20. Announcements of peace might be more than a bit premature. My understanding is that Hamas has unilaterally “agreed” to a version of a ceasefire that suits them and which Israel is highly unlikely to sign up to.
  21. You meant what you originally posted and you know it.
  22. So there we have it. A self-confessed supporter of genocide against the nation of Israel who presumably condones the aims and actions of Hamas, Iran and all of the other Jew-hating Islamists.
  23. You clearly take pleasure in juvenile trolling. To answer your silly question, no, LYB did not ask me to post anything. I’ve no idea who LYB is and vice versa.
  24. Think what you like, but I wonder why you’re so surprised that there can be more than one person who isn’t a far-left UK-hating apologist for Islamism.
  25. No. Are you, Yellow Fever, Well b back, Daz Sparks, Aggy, and Load of squit the same person, multi-accounts?
