  1. Most world class sprinters have really well tone bodies and muscular physiques. It doesn't seem to impede their flexibility or speed. They also don't seem prone to muscle or hamstring injuries to the extent that modern day footballers are.
  2. What concerns me is that any team we put out lacks a quality central defensive midfield player.
  3. Phil Chappel who played for NCFC and Charlton Athletic was in my U11 team when I taught in Sprowston over 40yrs ago.
  4. Last week Leeds was the next game and look what happened there. If we follow this trend and give DF one more game in the forlorn hope that we might win playing hoofball, we are reducing the chances of a new manager having time to turn things around to give us fans a bit of optimism.
  5. Surely if he looks objectively at this awful run of results which no other PL club would tolerate he must conclude that DF is not a PL manager. Problem with that is if Farke is sacked he will also have to take collective responsibility and go himself as Farke is his appointment and the recruitment policy for players is his. There's his dilemma. If DF needs to go so does he hence this rather insipid response to this issue.
  6. Effectively a back six. No creativity in midfield again. McLean obviously fist name on the team sheet each week yet has been responsible for gifting opposition a goal on more than one occasion this season. Dowell must also be wondering why he came here. He's not as lightweight as some seem to think, has PL experience, can pick a pass and score goals. Not hopeful of getting anything from this game with the line up chosen to start today.
  7. I think perhaps the tense is incorrect. We "have" a strong identity! We had a strong identity last season playing high pressing attractive football with an unrivalled outcome of goals and points. This is what makes this season so frustrating, as that identity has evaporated. Brentfords hasn't and the results are there for all to see.
  8. I believe the most pressing issue regarding Farke's future is his game management. It's OK to say we had most of the possession, as we did in the Bournemouth and Derby games, but if there is no end product he needs to implement plan B and he's been given the ability to do this with that additions to the squad with pacey wingers and an old fashioned style centre forward who can put himself about and is good with his head. If he continues with this seeming unwillingness to change formation and style of play to change the course of a game then I reluctantly feel he will have to go.
