1.
Are they? Do you have an example?
Pointless pointing one out to you... You''d just get frustrated
 2.
Playing the young lads usually brings the best out of the senior players.
Brings more energy to the team and they are more hungry to impress...
 3. Definite spells yesterday that showed his message is getting through.. definite signs of improvement but still a lot to improve on.
 4.
Slight change of tack ... given how well Lewis and Aarons are playing I think they are both now first choice, what does Cantwell need to do to be considered a first choice midfield option too? Some of his passing yesterday was really good, that defensive clearance not good, and a couple of shots from 18 yards... if he takes one more or more of those chances is he doing enough to keep his place?
On Lewis and Aaron''s definitely first choice. Cantwell did well but not sure he is first choice once all are fit... Signs of progress but still need to be more cynical around the box. Some good stuff yesterday but was not a great game... Looking forward to Tuesday to see more of the youngster get a chance
 5. I can also only assume that you now hope are sold on... Strange behaviour from a so called City fan.. there again you do get more excited at the fees raised rather than them performing for the club so I really should not be surprised.
 6. Historically we have been on the same terms as them, investment and some ambition plus a huge degree of luck meant they won the league....
 7.
We''re on a good enough run that its got to the stage posters like Mike and Lincoln end up saying something positive, panic a little and then caveat it with some negative. We must be doing well!
Christ you are a child...
 8. Thought Max was particularly good at QPR... Cantwell show some god touches and we all know about Lewis... Good news...let''s hope they are not sold on before their peak...
 9. Was a snip at £25m and it was a pathetic that we only got one season out of him... Still gutted he is not here and take no pleasure at all with him playing for someone else... Especially a club of the same stature as us...
 10.
"If you could just bring yourself to give praise without the negative caveats, caveats which are often based on the flimsiest of ideas - you might be given more credibility." Oh christ my irony meter just exploded.
LOL!
 11.
Of course no-one wants to see him become he next ''Marley Watkins'' but that is primarily up to him. If he can''t deliver then he will readily be replaced by a younger alternative where possible. If he delivers more than our younger group of players then he''ll get a chance. As for mentioning Watkins in terms of his performance for Bristol it''s kind of irrelevant as he was shocking here. Thankfully we have a much more talented player in Pukki, who I guess you could class as his replacement. Or maybe Buendia, who again looks a much more talented footballer.
Watkins was great for Barnsley & doing well at Bristol City. Marshall has always looked good when I have seen him but started poorly here.... still hoping he comes good but weird that they have both struggled & not getting consistent games in their preferred position maybe one of the reasons...
 12. Hanpey started poorly due to a lack of pre season but against them he was collosal... A major blow as he is far and away our best defender. The season is already shaping up to be one long slog
 13. Thought it was daft to let him go....good luck to the fella
 14.
You need help Vince. It seems as if you post this negative rhetoric all the time in the hope that you might fool one or two people into believing you, but if they do, then they are as stupid as you for being taken in. Good luck with your crusade, however, most of us thankfully have a more realistic and balanced view of things.
I agree but would say you blind optimism also negates some f your valid points
 15. If our results get much worse, I doubt that we would be seen as attractive to potential young talent... would the 3 lads in our first team have joined from Luton (2) & York if we had been in L1?
 16. I''m extremely happy to be in the company of the people I am... Imagine the alternative...
 17.
Delia. Not one fan on this forum bleeds yellow and green more than her. Quick poll to the fans on this forum. How many of you have been pictured wearing an Ipswich scarf?
To be fair, I think she was handed that on a live TV programme.. it was not hers....
 18.
Well done Lakey, a realistic, positive, honest opinion from you that i mostly agree with. The negative nancy''s on this board spurt the same old nothings any time someone tries to put a decent appraisal of where our club is at right now.Im positive about whats happening on and off the pitch at this moment, in fact more positive than ive felt in years. To many seasons being a yo-yo club, must be a pain in the butt to try to build a finance model that will change drastically every 12 months because of the enormous difference in revenue each division yields. So for now, you can keep your Prem and your L1. I love our club being in the Championship if im honest, its the most competitive league in England, likely in all of Europe.Colney is getting the upgrade it badly needed, and on the pitch the youngsters that are coming thru are being given their chance. "Lewis..academy product, Aarons...academy product, Godfrey..academy product, Thompson...etc etc". DF''s own words after Sundays match. Further down the line the likes of Idah and others will to come thru to enhance what i personally have wished for and wanted to see for so long. And some on here want Farke to go now?..crazy.Delia. Not one fan on this forum bleeds yellow and green more than her. That''s all i can be bothered to write. Some still churn out the rich investor needs to take over the club mantra...ok where are they?..show me the line of them queing at the club gate waiting to buy up the club..maybe you guys can conjure these mythical figures out of thin air. OTBC.
It''s about competency not whether you bleed yellow and green. No doubt everyone at the club wants to be successful it''s whether you think they think they can be or whether there are maybe others you think could be more successful. This is not a hate Delia thing..
 19.

nutty nigel wrote the following post at 03/09/2018 5:24 PM: JF wrote: Note to self for future. Don’t open any more LDC threads. If you’ve read one you’ve read them all... I wonder if he''s alone in that or if loads of us actually post the same old nonsense day in day out? How varied do you imagine your posts to be? At the moment not at all varied, I post things as I see it and in my eyes the club is very much on a downward trajectory now. I can’t post that all is rosy in the garden when I don’t believe that to be the case. But I’m not starting several new threads every day that all say the same thing though.
I think, and I know that personal opinion seem to be frowned upon on this board, that there is very entrenched opinions about our direction which is very much reflected in the stands and its pretty much impossible to have civil disagreement on here, which is a pity ( less so face to face) Probably best not to pay much attention and post as you see it.
It''s strange because this conversation between me an JF was about people being free to post their opinions. The intolerance was being shown by JF to Lakey.
Yes was happy to see you change tack... PS it''s not all about you.
 20.
The balancing act between board and fans is probably quite important here - the board’s expectations are probably lower currently than a lot (but not all) of the fans. If we’re looking to stay up, secure our finances and look to rebuild for a promotion push in a couple of years then Farke will get more time following poor results than if we want playoffs this season. As long as we aren’t seriously in a relegation scrap, I think his job will be safe for this season and probably next.
It''s whether 22 points from 22 games is enough...hopefully will pick up not that confident
 21.

It is exciting to see Aarons, Jamal, Godfrey, Thompson all playing, and does show we''re trying to invest in our youth product. But on a more negative side it''s a results driven business. One win in six is poor by all standards. And having been soundly beaten by Leeds it''s Middlesboro up next. Another defeat, followed by two tricky away ties and we could be in serious trouble. We all said we''d give Farke 10 games (imo the board will stick with him) but we could realistically be in bottom three by time these games are up, IF Farke can''t get results. And if that happens it''s hard to see how any manager starts to turn things round. What do people think
Professional sport is 100% a results business. You win, you drive atmosphere, ticket and merch sales, you as fans feel better, better players want to play for you and the area you play in gets a big boost. If you can not get the results then the opposite happens. Our results need to improve.
Glad we won at Cardiff because I will be at Wycombe but that result was against a Cardiff B side and Colin was not that arsed. 5 points in league is not great and needs to improve given that Farke and Webber both said they were very happy with business done in the summer. One major positive yesterday was Hanley who having missed pre season now seems to be getting back to his best
