  1. Cardiff, unlike everyone else, didn't target Sorensen. The defence did well, Hanley is showing great leadership and Skipp is the foundation that allows the wide players to be expansive.
  2. Emi, controlled the game, scored a goal and refereed the match. I can only think he jabber on in Spanish so the ref doesn't take offence. After he's subbed he's bending Mario's ear then comes on the pitch after the game with a face like thunder. Intense or what?
  3. We seem to play most of our games at 85%. When that extra 15% comes in, bang.!
  4. Are there many better sights than Teemu Pukki gliding onto a through ball?
  5. Sooner or later we just have to dish out a pasting, today would be ideal.
  6. McGovern has really improved with matches. Hanley was immense, Aarons was fantastic, Skipp was outstanding, Pukki was incredible as usual.
  7. We have no one available for a pass in Central midfield who can drive on with the ball. Cantwell for the anonymous McLean.
  8. Tremendous player and professional. He can play at any point in a game after not playing competitively for weeks and be up to speed immediately. He deserves to be up there with the biggest club legends.
  9. Forest look like they have some good flair players and when they had a go they looked as good as anyone we have played this year but they remind me of us when Hughton came here and tried to play his style with the wrong set of players (and fans). Thank heavens for Farkeball.
  10. I thought we were lucky but I thought we were lucky in other games. But with the run we are on it can't be luck.
  11. Pukki for me is the biggest concern as the player we can least afford to lose. At least Buendia gets a rest for a week. But we should have enough to beat Coventry.
  12. He's unlucky he isn't a full back. We have plenty in midfield and this league is a slog.
  13. That is a superb mature and professional performance.....again!
  14. I've just seen the highlights for the first time and we deserved to win that game. Toney looked good, hung in the air and the movement for his goal was good but Emi looked back to his best. Sometimes you have to look at how the team is playing. We are getting there, the EPL rust is coming off and we just need to improve the conversion rate.
  15. Taking into account the short close season, the transfer window pressures, the international absences, the relegation hangover and so on.............. It is going to take this side a while to re-find their feet and there is no reason to expect us to hit the ground running but: A win is a win, the new striker scores, the players can slowly gel and the tide starts to turn. It is all about confidence and that will take a while to return fully.
  16. Most managers have a 'best before' date. Farke is no different.
  17. Playing with Lewis instead of Quintilla would have made us less capable because with a packed defence a player who can deliver a cross is more valuable. Playing with Gibson instead of Godfrey improved us defensively. Cantwell and Buendia are busted flushes in this league, only Aarons has the application and is the player we would miss the most. This was a game to play Hughill and hit him with crosses. This was a typical Championship game of attrition. We need to grind out results before we can be more expansive. The team selection and substitutes are the problem. Farke is turning into the new Nigel Worthington. We are back to running this Club on sentiment.
  18. Says someone who doesn't know the difference between The Netherlands and Finland.
  19. This kind of match where the opposition sit deep is ideal for a striker like Hugill.
  20. He has become a liability. Suspect temperament and he was unable to cut it in the EPL. How many goals did we concede from his losing the ball and sitting on his backside complaining? I would prefer to see him more central but personally I'd rather sell him and buy Pritchard.
  21. You've got to be a top, top player to be a prima donna and if you are that good you probably aren't a prima donna. Why would any manager want to buy a player with a suspect attitude?
  22. Like Lewis, Godfrey appears to have conducted himself well. Everton appear to have played fair and they are a perfect club to go to. In a febrile climate of no crowd football this secures the future of Norwich City. I don't want a return to mediocre football but personally enjoy the Championship and tolerate the EPL for the money. Personally, apart from being athletes I never regarded either as being top specialist defenders but will be happy to see them go on to do well. The best of the bunch, Max Aarons, is surprisingly still here but surely he will be sold too. He has also shown good attitude, unlike Cantwell and Buendia and what can you do with players who don't want to be here? Give me a 'team' of committed players any day, people who are motivated. It happens all the time that players who play in the EPL don't want to go back to the Championship and as a result the team fails, this is one reason why relegated sides seldom bounce back. I expect to lose all five. I'd like another CB in and perhaps a creative midfielder but it is likely we'll change method and use wingers instead of overlapping full backs. Finally, if you want to attract top young talent you have to show you won't stand in their way, they get a chance to shine here and that is why they come.
  23. If Jamal Lewis had played for Liverpool against Norwich this season you would have fancied us to get at him.
