1. Squit, the board do what they THINK is best for the club. Not necessarily what is best for the club. And is it totally necessary to be so goddam patronising on your posts?
2. I''d love to see him at the club, but for £3.5m?! Surely buying a less hyped up striker and a right midfielder would be a better use of the cash. It''s probably all tabloid nonsense anyway.
3. West Ham will only have him for a season or two before he''s off to bigger and better things anyway. And who can blame him, I frequently change jobs to get a better deal/work in a better environment, would you be any different if you were a footballer? The crux of the matter is that if we''d had a decent squad to back him up and were challenging for promotion he wouldn''t have gone so soon.
4. Do the "betting tips which guarantee you will beat the bookies to the tune of £25-£100 each week" come with a money-back guarantee?! [;)] Either way I''ll take a look when it goes live.
5. I take it back, apparently they''ve only cancelled the services that run on the hour, the trains that go at half-past the hour are still scheduled to run. Albeit with severe delays! I think I''ll wait to the very last minute before committing myself to the fun of a severely delayed train journey!! Snow updates from the area would be much appreciated!
6. Well One Railway have decided to cancel ALL services from London to Norwich today so that rules me out for the match tonight regardless of whether it goes ahead http://www.journeycheck.com/one/ [:(]
7.
Come on - you know what us blokes are like - its probably only heavy cold, the flu jab does not work on those - for a pampered footballer its probably just a dribbly nose[;)] Real flu is a nightmare and they will probably be out for 10 days or so. OTBC Sorry, nearly resisted the urge but couldnt stop myself - is it bird flu for the young canaries? I''ll get my coat..
LOL! I heard that bird flu isn''t that bad anyway, it just makes you feel a bit peckish... Sorry, stole that one from Soccer AM!
8. Just read the article on the Pink''un about the squad being down to the bare bones (again) and I see that both Shackell and Etuhu are doubts due to having the flu. Now unless I''m missing something here, why on earth don''t the club give all players the flu jab?! Is there something in the flu jab that is deemed to be illegal by the random drug testers?
9. Maybe we can instigate some sort of dispute between Safri and the Moroccan coach... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/africa/4545484.stm
10. The tide turns again, now it''s the WO''s turn to get shouted down! So when are we going to see some support for Worthy from the KTFers then? Like I said above, I haven''t heard any chanting supporting him of late..... [;)]
11. As you can see from my avatar I''m one of the Worthy Outers and obviously I didn''t go and protest after the game because that would have been stupid for the following reasons: 1. we''d just won convincingly 2. it was freezing 3. see points 1 and 2 But I disagree with your comments Stephen when you say "I was merely suggesting that maybe there isn''t this huge groundswell of opinion against Worthy that some people like to think exists".  There are an awful lot of people who think that Worthy''s time is up, if it is me that is wrong why hasn''t the "Worthington''s Army" chant been heard for weeks? Why was the atmosphere at the start of the match on Saturday awful? You could practically hear a pin drop! Everyone seemed resigned to defeat and the 1st goal didn''t help matters. This kind of result just goes to show what a bad job Worthy has done so far this season. The second half showed what this team is capable of doing and it''s taken 24 matches to get it right! Now don''t get me wrong, I''m not someone that wants us to start losing so that Worthy goes, but I''m still in the WO camp for the time being. However, a good Xmas run and 7 or more points from the 4 games (ideally 10 or 12 points, but that''s probably a bit unrealistic) AND more importantly similar commitment to what we saw on Saturday and I might move back into the Worthy Doubters camp for the time being. OTBC!
12.

So according to this article we should get behind the manager because........ummmmmm.......I''m struggling here.................oh yeah, because "he can and will turn it around". It also says that "Nigel has the heart to admit that there is indeed a problem".  I could''ve told him that 18 months. I suppose shipping Jarrett out is going to fix everything is it? There is absolutely nothing in that article that makes me change my mind.
Isn''t it amazing how many Worthy outers will tell you that they were a Worthy Outer 18 months ago. Hmm, on this basis you were an outer because we got promoted to the Prem..?? Worthy has form in turning this club from relegation fodder into an outfit capable of winning promotion. The subsequent failings of the team are not entirely down to him. Several key players have let the team down this season and I''m not talking about the new recruits.
Rieg77, okay 18 months is probably a bit harsh as we were always going to struggle to start with in the Premiership (although Wigan and West Ham haven''t), but certainly in the last year Norwich have under performed. In fact we''ve been atrocious aside from the little run we put together right at the tail end of last season. I''ve posted on here before saying that I was supporting Worthy at the start of this season, I thought it''d fair to give him at least 10 games and see where we''re at. But we are now 22 games in and we''ve lost 11 of them! That''s just not acceptable! It''s not as if we''ve even been unlucky, the defeats at Luton and QPR will live long in the memory!  In any other walk of life a business with 12-18 months of under performance would be treated with the action it deserves, i.e. a change of management and a new approach. Why should a football club be any different?  Can you imagine Delia leaving the head chef in charge of her Brasserie if for the last year they had been serving up inedible food and weren''t filling the restaurant every night? Of course not. Why is this any different?
13. So according to this article we should get behind the manager because........ummmmmm.......I''m struggling here........<drums fingers on desk>.........oh yeah, because "he can and will turn it around". It also says that "Nigel has the heart to admit that there is indeed a problem".  I could''ve told him that 18 months. I suppose shipping Jarrett out is going to fix everything is it? 14. I posted as much on the official site earlier today, but it doesn''t matter if you want a win, draw or loss. Norwich will lose this weekend as we are simply AWFUL. The players can''t be bothered, the manager hasn''t got a clue and we''ll most likely ship 2 goals in the first 25 minutes. We''ll scrape a consolation goal late in the 2nd half and someone else, probably Henderson, will hit the post or cross-bar and Worthy will wheel out the usual post match buzz words like "commitment", "effort", "unlucky", etc. But one thing is for sure, even if we get thrashed 5-0 he''ll still be in charge for the Southampton game....
15. rieg77, with Worthy in charge there is absolutely no chance of us being in the Premiership next season. With a change of management immediately there is an outside chance that we''ll do a Palace and reach the playoffs, but with the way the board are dithering the chance will have gone before something is done.
16. You only have to at the difference Stuart Pearce made to Man City when he took over from Keegan. Same players, but they respected him and he made them look like a totally different team. I''m sure there are countless examples like this. Although there are probably countless examples where changing the manger has also gone horribly wrong! I just cannot see how much longer Worthy can carry on; the majority of the fans are against him and the players aren''t playing for him. It must result in a pretty miserable existence.
17. I''ve also issued a press statement of my own, well kind of! About 2/3''s of the way down the letters page on football365.com under the subject ''Two Interesting Views Of The South Coast Soap Opera'' I''ve added my ''press release''!! [;)] http://www.football365.com/opinion/mailbox/story_170530.shtml
18. In general I give it hte "thumbs up", but two complaints: 1. As mentioned earlier the preview option has disappeared. 2. After I''ve read a thread and scrolled right down the bottom I usually hit "back" on the browser and it''d return me to the main page at the same position I left it. However, now when I do it it returns me to wherever I was positioned on the previous page, i.e. at the bottom! In other words it''s very annoying!!
19. Fantastic post. That sums up my feelings perfectly!  I won''t be going to the Luton game either as I can''t be bothered to throw away an entire day sitting on a tube/train getting from London to Norwich and back to watch the shambles that we''ve turned into.
20. Nice one Tim, I do enjoy your reports in a sadistic kind of way! I''ve forwarded the last 2 onto my non-Norwich supporting mates who keep asking what''s gone wrong! They sum everything up beautifully! Btw, I didn''t think Green was totally at fault with the 3rd and was more to do with the fact that Deano and one of the defenders (can''t remember who) went for the same ball and let it drop right at Santos''s feet. The slanging match between Deano and Green that followed sums up everything that''s wrong at Norwich at the moment! I''m not going to the Birmingham game, if you are I hope you have something less painful to write about this time!
21. Regardless of what Delia says in her press release it basically boils down to: "We''re not going to sack NW because we don''t want to and we can''t afford to either" Which IMO leaves tbe doubters with three choices: a) Stop going to matches until he is sacked (might be some time though...) b) Keep going to matches and boo/jeer/moan (after all you have already paid for that season ticket) c) Keep going to matches and reluctantly get behind the team I was a long term supporter of Worthy until I sat through the Luton and QPR fiascos and am now of the opnion that he''s taken the team as far as he can. However, he isn''t going anywhere and I do concede that we''ve have a bad run of injuries (even though I know he should''ve got in some suitable backup over the summer). So for me it''s going to have to be option c as option a is unthinkable and I''m not capable of option b.
22. I just read the headline on the top of the BBC Norwich section and thought it said: "Boss Worthington SACKED by Ashton" If only it were true!! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/norwich/default.stm
23. I''ve just got in after drowning my sorrows after the game (btw, it''s 1:32am as this won''t get posted till tomorrow am). My thoughts are: 1. Very dissappointed that we didn''t fly out the blocks like the 2nd half at Luton 2. Very dissappointed that Charlton started in midfield 3. Very dissappointed that Jarvis didn''t start 4. We are abssolute gash 5. If Worthy doesn''t go soon we''re gonna be dragged into a relegation battle 6. No one apart from Ashton (in the 2nd half) gave a sh*t 7. Put it into context, a year ago we were in the Prem, now we''ve conceeded 7 goals against Luton and QPR, WTF! I''ve been pro Worthy all season, but this is the end for me. He''s paid an awful lot of cash to do the business and to put it simply we haven''t done it. Worthy out.
