  1. True, did they all get 4 years though or are they rolling? Also, he'll want to take them if he gets a decent job... so could put them on gardening leave, and expect his new club to pay compo (or let them leave with no pay off at that point).
  2. I wonder how much weight the alleged fallout between Farke and Cantwell has had on any decision to sack Farke, if this is true? If a new manager can get Cantwell back on board and feeling appreciated, enough to pen a new deal, we're talking about securing an asset worth potentially £20m - £25m? If Farke is on say £20k a week we're talking less than £4m as a pay off. That's surely a factor for a club like us, which is fast running out of the saleable assets that we need to balance the books every season we're in the Championship?
  3. Checked date, it is definitely not 1st April. Source?
  4. You are very welcome, I've had a great day out. What number did you set your home thermostat to?
  5. As much as I agree that it would be a disgrace if they got rid of Holt (similar to that time Roeder had Neil Adams sacked).. ... and I think Chris Reeve should be put in the stocks and pelted with tomatoes for being a snitch if that happens. Lets be real RE Huckerby, he's never struck me as the most professional of people, his banter on twitter is often quite close to the line, if not slightly over it (particularly the gender stereotypes / jokes about his missus and kitchens etc), and when he was coaching at Norwich he'd be having 'banter' with his players on twitter as well. He was let go as there were concerns about a lack of discipline in the U18s, and as likeable as Hucks would have been to his players etc, that could hardly have been a huge surprise.
  6. According to Stuart Webber Farke was sent into a gunfight with no guns last time in this league. But this time Farke has the guns, the bullets and a few bazookas..... ... so if you have us as good as relegated already, then what is it? Webber has failed to give him the bullets as he claims, or Farke doesn't know how to load the gun? People like you are trying to have it both ways with everything. The same people have been consistently defending Todd Cantwell this season whilst simultaneously doing the same with Farke, looks like they've created themselves a bit of a paradox there too. So what is it, has Webber failed to deliver the bullets, or does Farke not know how to load the gun? You tell me.
  7. Exactly, so why abandon Farkeball, leave £18m worth of wingers on the bench for the 0-0s. Farke has lost the plot. The way we went down last time whilst actually attempting to get the ball down and play at least earned us a degree of respect, even if it was accompanied with accusations of naivety. We've panicked after losing to Watford and completely abandoned our principles. He's bottled it and has his team playing with fear.
  8. Well you've got a short memory then, we wouldn't be where we are in the footballing hierarchy if we weren't allowed to sack Gunn after the season had started and steal the manager of a competitor.
  9. Just listened to it, what a tw*t Chris Reeve is. Says it might get him in some trouble mentioning names, then throws Grant Holt firmly under the bus, but then chooses not to throw some other individual under the bus. Poor from them! And Jack could have bleeped it out, so its both of them.
  10. At least he can try out his wrestling moves, do a big slam dunk.
  11. Will do, bit irresponsible of Chris Reeve to name his source. Will defo make others think twice before talking to him.
  12. Agreed. Grant Holt might need that job, if this is true. Also, suggests TNCs relationship has soured somewhat with the club. Fans of the year to sharing sensitive information! Would explain why they don't seem to get any players/coaches/Webber on their channel now.
  13. Your problem Lake District Canary is that you were one of those kids who still got a medal for finishing last at sports day, my genuine fear is that in ten years time there will be an entire generation of new adults just like you. We don't get a medal or a big pat on the back for 'taking part' in the Premier League this season and beating Derby's record. It won't be the "taking part which counts" when the whole country is pointing at us and laughing, and reminding us of this record 15 years down the line. Your parents let you win at Scrabble far longer than they should have done, let that be a warning to other parents. The real world is cruel, there are winners and losers, right now we've got a massive red L pointing right at us, and its embarrassing. We are the Audley Harrison of Premier League sides, no heart, no fight, no coherent game plan, and not a great deal of talent on display, talking a load of nonsense in the post fight press conference and losing a match before a single punch is thrown. I'd rather we were a Derek Chisora, often the underdog but scared of nobody, always fighting to the bell and occasionally finding a knockout punch.
  14. Buying other teams cast offs, free agents, or players from the lower leagues is the way we've done things for 50 years. Whether that is Wes Hoolahan, Grant Holt, Mark Robins, Mark Bowen, Ian Culverhouse Efan Ekoku, Steve Bruce, We never go out there with a big transfer fee to land the finished product, only time we did try and do this under Hughton we just kept getting rejected. If Pukki did better than could expected for the budget expended (low wages and signing on fee) then that's brilliant, but it effectively describes about 80% of Norwich club legends, whether that is Grant Holt from League Two, Steve Bruce from Cambridge, Adam Drury from League One Peterborough. If you are going to hold up the transfer successes of this regime you also need to balance them out with the transfer failures, and admittedly this regime have had few which cost substantial money.... the substantial outlay this summer looks like its going to change that, we can suck it up when £2.5m is wasted on Franke, but when the fees reach £9m then the regime is inviting scrutiny after being so vocal about this clubs business in McNally's last year which saw RVW, Naismith and Klose all arrive for similar fees. You appear to be calling out a lack of balance, whilst offering no balance whatsoever.
  15. Where can I see evidence of this please, is it on twitter or TNC or something? The problem with Chris Reeve naming Grant Holt as his source (or you doing so, if he told you privately) is that Grant Holt is employed as an academy coach at the club, he would likely lose his job for sharing sensitive information.
  16. He was elected the king of the happy clappers in a recent poll, so he can talk for them.
  17. Bet you can't use that thread to pinpoint a single individual that has contradicted themselves. That's a fair assumption I feel, after you completely guessed at my Todd Cantwell stance and I showed without any doubt that my stance was the complete opposite.
  18. Passlack getting first team football at Dortmund this season, that always was a bit of a weird one.
  19. So in the past week or so we've had.... 1). relative dying and on the end of life pathway 2). mental health 3). being treated like **** by Farke All have come people who apparently have a close to source to the family. A maximum of one of you can be telling the truth, so is it you or @Pugin telling porky pies about Cantwell's absence?
  20. I'm sure Cambridge or somebody will do another poll after Brentford.
  21. It is usually a PR exercise or status symbol. What does it say on the front of Man Citys shirt? Mike Ashley got to name a stadium.
  22. Sure, same as McNally but he also left at the right time.
  23. Embarrassing that we have fans who accept the turgid performances and lack of passion we've seen this year. Grade A Happy Clapper.
