  1. Literally went to Brentford, cheered on our team and clapped off Farke at the end. Did you? I felt blessed to have been there for Farke's final game, great man. I also think he made his own job untenable and it was time for him to go, but the timing of his sacking was atrocious - it doesn't sound like Webber is to blame for that though, the rest of the board dillied and dallied and delayed their decision by two days.
  2. Absolutely not. Look at the unnecessary pressure Man Utd managers are put under having Alex Ferguson glaring down at them from the director's box. And Farke could land a decent job in Germany now, at least a Bundesliga 2 side with a chance of promotion.
  3. Looks like this appointment would upset all of the right people at least.
  4. How come everybody has randomly heard of some obscure 53 year old Norwegian who didn't have a serious job until 3 years ago. It feels like a significant proportion of the people calling for Knutson may be being somewhat disingenuous, or sheep, with perhaps 3 people including our resident Norwegian Olano having actually heard of him.
  5. I suspect this is a bit of a ludicrous claim, when Aston Villa were in the league
  6. Ah i get you. I never said that I felt this squad was Premier League. But the moment Farke implied that his players weren't good enough he'd contradicted Webber, and made Webber look bad, so now Webber is taking a punt on a manager who might make his summer window look a bit more successful. To save his own skin. And I hope it works, because it is preferable to finding out we'd wasted £50m on turnips.
  7. It isn't the team I'd be worried about you not supporting. Are you backtracking on your claim that you'd be "disgusted by the club" if we gave Lampard the job then? The board are only doing what they think is best for the club, not really anything to get disgusted by. I mean I will give it to you though, can't really call you a 'happy clapper' now that you are really angry with the board, Stuart Webber, and are apparently about to become 'disgusted' with them all. I suspect you'll wind it in a bit, I'm surprised you've chosen to back Farke over Webber, it must be a difficult position to be in after blindly backing both when it was more than obvious that to most that there were conflicts and tension and Farke had put himself into an untenable position.
  8. Arrived at Dunston Hall by helicopter this morning, spent at least two hours there and then left by chauffeured car - presumably to Colney or Carrow Road. Source: Golf club member. That doesn't mean he has got the job, but does mean that he's a serious candidate and been interviewed. That's why the odds are so short and showing no signs of getting longer. Paddy Power has dropped to 8/11!
  9. Stop making out that players have gone behind Farke's back to get him sacked. The moment Farke implied that he doesn't have enough quality in his squad he was gone, because Webber has said that Farke was given the guns and ammunition to stay up this time. That was the moment the bond between Webber and Farke was broken, they'd contradicted each other, one of them was going to have to go - and it was always going to be Farke.
  10. Well this s quite some welcome from the forum's number 3 happy clapper, who has really nailed his colours to the mast when it comes to Lampard. Personally I will be backing him if it is confirmed, and hoping he can help bring our youngsters through like he did with James, Mount and a few others at Chelsea. Lampard still has it all to prove, which is why he's being linked to the club in 20th, but he can at least be credited for clearly being able to identify the best players in an U23/U18 team and then successfully guiding them through the transition to first team football. He is at least owed some credit for that! Farke had it all the prove when he came here too, we gave him our trust and he repaid us - I, for one, would be extending the same to Lampard, who always seems like a thoroughly decent and intelligent chap to me.
  11. I was told this rumour by somebody who plays golf at Dunston Hall, some other golf club members had told him. It is looking like Lampard has at least been interviewed for the role. Whether he is the only person being interviewed is anybodies guess?
  12. Exactly, Russell Martin needs to prove himself at Swansea first. At least get them in the top 6 next season on a tight budget or something.
  13. 2 hours 45 minutes drive to London from Norwich. 2 hours 48 minutes drive to London from Derby..... and he went there.
  14. You won't be supporting Frank Lampard then if he gets the job? I will.
  15. Also looks like he has already written off Gilmour, and the rest of football seems to think he's a brilliant talent.... seemed to write off Roberts and Edwards early too when we could have done with flair players at times. Might be a bit of a disagreement also between Farke and Webber on whether Tsoliz is ready?
  16. We've turned down lots of offers for Max Aarons
  17. You literally acknowledged before the Leeds game that if we lost he was in deep trouble, so who is showing their double standards?
  18. The moment Farke publicly intimated that his players were not good enough, whilst Webber publicly asserted that Farke had the guns and bullets this year, was the moment his job became untenable. Only a handful of simpletons couldn't add 2+2 and come out with 4, and I was surprised despite your happy clapper reputation that you were one of them. It is perfectly acceptable to have considered Farke's time here to be done without wanting the board to humiliate him by sending him out to do post-match interviews knowing that he was about to be sacked. There is no reason to "make anything up", I know that you send abusive messages to football pundits on twitter but most other people are inherently decent and have a basic grasp on what is right or wrong in life and in business. The way he was sacked was unnecessarily brutal.
  19. Not the right decision to send him into the Brentford game if you'd already decided to sack. If that decision had been made then a caretaker should have taken this game.
  20. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/59192672 There is no way that he knew he'd been sacked, or was about to be sacked. Quite upsetting and quite humiliating really, he's been treated pretty atrociously here, the moment they decided he was getting sacked a caretaker should have been installed. Surely the board would have known a good result was possible?
  21. How would you feel if he was named Sheffield United manager imminently? Their manager is surely under pressure, and Sheffield United would want a manager with promotions on his CV. Its difficult to think about isn't it, the idea that we could face a Farke team next season!
  22. Well yeah, because if he'd won the Champions League instead we wouldn't be talking about being the club to give him his next opportunity would we.
  23. Already got him, pretending to be a Kosovan left winger.
