3. Fenerbahce (nicknamed the Canaries) play host to Galatasaray tonight in what is being billed in Turkey as ''the mother of all derbies''.It will be a cracking game, always is, as Rijkaard brings his fully fit G''ray squad to face the depleted canaries. Either depleted or Christoph Daum is a mind game genius and we will see the injured players in the starting XI. Some good players will definitely be on display either way, and it will certainly be an entertaining game. It will be a very full-blooded affair with no love lost between the two clubs whatsoever.6pm kick off (GMT) and streams can be found on atdhe.org asiaplatetv.com and the suchlike. Worth watching for any fan of the game, or even just if u have nothing better to do!Last time out - 0-0, 4 red cards, a tackle at neck height, and some near misses and exciting moment.Galatasaray have not won away to Fener since before 2000 but will feel with Rijkaard in charge they will feel they have a strong chance.
4. Signed this morning until 2013. Just announced on Radio Norfolk.Great news, really pleased with that, and if/when he goes it certainly boosts our transfer fee! Well done all involved in signing him up.
5. nah same for me too mate, hopeful be on soon.
6.
Maybe I would CHOPS, but at least I can be honest about things, unlike our wonderful new board of directors. I will however not be hoping for this to happen, as I will be there cheering on the lads hoping that Lambert can continue to perform miracles against the odds!
Good on you smudger, We disagree on almost everything NCFC, but i am glad to hear you voice your support for the boys instead of hoping we lose which i seem to recall being your tactic for sometime. Pleased to hear it mate.
7. Its the first week or so of the autumn semester, so basically the first week or two of uni, the students union and various clubs and bars put events on for the new students.
8. Haha, im preparing to go out actually, plenty of drinking to be done me thinks!
9. Havent been around much since January, as i have been here, there and everywhere, and generally busy. Finally have moved to uni and now have a regular internet connection and time to use this fine messageboard, so will be restoring myself to regular poster status! On a side note, anyone going to the gillingham game from Derby with a space in the car? Or any other city fans in the area/at the uni generally? How was everyones summers etc? i feel so out of tocuh with the forum its untrue!
10.

do you reckon he would be intrested tho? i think hed really enjoy it and as far as im aware hes still living in norfolk
he never livedin norwich, his ome is in staffordshire, he was hotel-ed up.he is now a pundit until july 2010.and he hasnt any badges.
Nope - he lıves ın Stratford upon Avon ın Warwıckshıre. :)
11. I thınk thıs ıs a very decent sıgnıng at thıs level ıf he can stay ınjury free, Im happy to see the lad come here, he ıs a huge physıcal presence at 6''4....wont do us any harm ın thıs league!
12. I think this is a solid enough signing - voted players player of the season last year too so obviously a popular figure in the dressing room.Experienced CM who is big can pass a ball and apparently also cross one too. All the Exeter fans saying what a legend he is, great player who they will miss badly.I think for League 1 this is a decent signing.Welcome Gilly and best of luck!
13.
Oh god here we go again, may the transfer shambles begin again! According to wiki he''s only scored 9 goals in his last 56 games, I would much rather see Gunn go for young lower league players who are hungry to succeed, rather than 30+ year olds who are well past their sell by date. If this is a sign of things to come then it will kill any slight optimism I had about the up and coming season.
9 ın 56 must be about on par wıth Cureton ıf not slıghtly better to be faır.
14. Who does he play for now,heıght etc etc??
15. Left Winger currently playing for Carlisle - Won theır Player of the season last year - had transfer request accepted today citing ''''personal reasons''''....Available for around the fee Carlisle paıd for him (£50 000).... Readıng theır forums ( here ) ıt seems theır fans are splıt on hım ın a sımılar way to the splıt we have over croft and lappın - some say he ıs fantastıc and others say he ıs crap... Worth a punt??
16.
Would like to see Semmy used at right mid though because his face would tear defences apart, we would just have to train him how to cross and he could become a very good player for us.
Agree on Semmy at RM, he defınıtely has a wıcked shot on hım and always looks much better goıng forward than defendıng... but ı thınk ıts a lıttle harsh to say hıs ''''face would tear defences apart'''' - Personal comments on hıs appearance are a lıttle out of order ı thınk ;)
17. Yep Congrats to Burnley and best of luck ın the top flıght!
18. At least Plymouth can do the business, now we need to show some balls and perform in the big game.
19.
he could come back a hero again , im fairly confident leauge 1 would be a walk in the park for him .
Totally agree, I wasn''t really bothered about Hucks leaving, because i thought he was past it. Since he has been at SJ he has learnt to play a different game, not always running at his man and taking on more of a playmaker role, similar to Giggs at Utd. He is still having problems with his hip as far as I know, i''m gonna try and catch the Quakes game this weekend if i can so will report back if he plays.I would take Hucks back in a flash, and I was wrong last year in so much as I thought the time was right for him to move on.At least he has got to fulfill one of his dreams by playing abroad, and I have no doubt whatsoever he will get one of the greatest receptions Carrow Road has ever seen when he comes back!!!
20. Hucks is coming back to the club in some capacity when his contract runs out with San Jose Earthquakes (around November I believe). He has pretty much said that in a few interviews recently. The only question is whether he comes back to play or just to coach/work within the club in PR or something.Imo it''s more likely he will come back to play if we are in League one, as he knows he would destroy that league, whereas coming back to Champs may be a bit more hit and miss for him!
21. Imo, Gunn should get next season at least.Yeah he didn''t keep us up, but he gave it a bloody good go, and we''ve fallen down towards the end, but we are only missing that one player with spark and invention, ala Hucks/Hoolahan.If Hooly hadn''t been crocked I think we would be staying up. He is creative and inventive, and that is the only thing we are really missing, and that lack of spark was obvious last night. I don''t think you can blame Gunny for that; or indeed the mess he inherited. Carney aside I think his loan signings have been astute, yes he is learning, he doesn''t make subs early enough, and sometimes his tactics are questionable, but overall I think it would positive to keep him. I''m not saying that because he is a City legend, I''m saying it because I think he will be a great manager. The thing is, HE NEEDS TIME.We cannot stay in the same rut of changing our manager once a season, we need some stability, and Gunn has all the right personal qualities to be a manager, he has the right people around him too. You can point towards his time as Head of player recruitment and say his dealings there weren''t brilliant, which I would agree with, but remember he didnt have the final say in signing them. Who really knows how many Cody Macs, Gunn suggested and had shot down?!Gunny, Crooky, and Butterworth (Butterworthy?!) are a fairly inexperienced team. They have all the makings of a great team, they just need some time. I don''t think we will bounce back next season, I expect a respectable high mid-table finish - 8th or similar. The season after, if we stick with them, I think we will storm the division.Gunny seems to have the right players coming in - Cody mac, Gow, Lee, Mooney, Shacks.... we won''t have all of them next season, but we will have Cody and it seems like Alan Lee wants to stay regardless of division, whether we can afford him is another matter entirely... I trust Gunny to make the right signings and get the right players in. I''d like to see Lappin sign a new deal too, he is worth another contract, especially in League 1 - he''d be excellent at that level.Relegation gives us an opportunity to get rid of the sh*t high wage earners - Fozzy, Cureton et al.I would like to see a team of our own players come in. Mainly young hungry players, from League 1 or 2 clubs... boys with a point to prove.... no more egos... Just players who want to play for the shirt, players who will give us some loyalty for giving them their big shot. I was one of the people who didnt think Hucks was good enough when he left. In league one, and having changed his game up to compensate for losing some of his pace he would be brilliant.I''m fully behind Gunny, I think he has the ability to be fantastic for us, and to get us up from Lg 1 in a few years. He just doesn''t yet have the experience.I hope he stays next season and beyond.
22. Norfolkchance - remember Fulham in the Prem season. They had nothing to play for either.
23. No, I wouldn''t go on Saturday.Because the game is on Sunday. No idea if it''s being beamed back.
24. Yep agreed. My step-mom and her family are all Forest through and through and I''m chuffed for them, Forest are a great club with similar stature to ourselves (although a little more glorious history!).Gutted about our current plight, but I think League1 lets you look outside the box for players rather than rely on expensive Prem kids so hopefully we''ll be looking for a few more Cody Macs now instead of the James Henrys.Relegation is a bitter pill to swallow, I just hope that it will maybe cure us of some of our ills, and we''ll bounce back in the not-to-distant and not disappear into obscurity...Congratulations on staying up Forest.
