I think it depends on a few things. If we go down but we go down with a fight and run it close then I think people will be OK with that. If we spend most of the season bottom of the league and go down with whimper then I think fans will look to the boardroom and ask questions. I do think the budgetary constraints will potentially give Webber and Farke something like a free hit, as Neil generally seemed to get in his one season in the Premier League.

The answer is to not hike the price of membership to £50 without any warning or real consultation. Members who struggled to get tickets for games in previous years weren't complaining because they didn't feel like they were being ripped off.

It is quite common, especially when players are into the last year or so of their contract.

I think people, understandably, resent paying £50 (or £100 if you buy both) for what is basically a ticket in a lottery. All the problems stem from the initial cost.
