  1. " want to put their opinion forward (and it is opinion) " More old guff. Try reading the post and replying to that rather then what you would like me to have said. I have no problem with people''s views of something that has happened. What the problem here is the invention of stories and the subsequent commenting on that invention. For some ''alledged City fans'' no story is so baseless that it can''t be repeated on here. The club are defrauding the fans and money has gone missing. That''s not opinion. That has been posted up on here then used to justify an attack upon the club. You may not have seen or read the scurrilous posts put up here during the transfer window as many were taken down for being libellous. These from so called City fans. The heroic bunch who would have you believe that they have the club''s interest at heart. If someone chooses to post up lies about our club I will challenge those lies. Taking the moral high ground it might be deemed by some of you - but it says volumes about how low some have sunk that any action trying to stick to the truth is regarded as worthy of attack. And in reply to who I am, I am a former City player who played for England, won the FA Cup, currently sit in the director''s box at Carrow Road and commentate for Radio Norfolk via a complicated system of semaphore when nobody is looking. * * I made that last bit up, but as it is my opinion you can take it as being gospel truth.
  2. " Surely, Ruel Fox came from you-know-where! " Certainly did. But quickly saw the light and headed north.. It ''s that fans that deserve the mocking. " Oh, My old man''s a binman He think''s he''s a cockney chap He says gawd blimey guvernor And he talks a load of crap "
  3. " wont take second best like many others. " More old tosh. As said before we and most others will always be second best. The problem with posters like Paul (and yourself) is that you attempt to portray anyone who doesn''t think that ''sacking the manager will resolve our problems'' as fans who have little or no aspiration or concern for the club. In Paul''s case it is far worse. Any genuine rebuttal of his repeated lies, misinformation and attempts to slander the club are twisted into being attacks on those that don''t agree with Worthington. They are not. It is fair comment to state your views on the manager, his signings, tactics etc. This is part and parcel of this board and has been part and parcel of football be it here, in the pub or on the terraces for a long long time. What is not fair comment is the repeated twisting of a story in an attempt to show how bad the club is, habitual misrepresent ion of what is said for the same purpose and the posting up of stuff from a totally unreliable source knowing that it is libellous solely because it''s made unfounded claims of financial irregularities. This not an argument between those who want Worthington sacked and those who don''t. It is about a number of fans, irrespective of their views on Worthington, who are sick to the death of the lies and endless rumour being passed off as fact in an effort to denigrate the club. It is not about keeping the faith it is about keeping the record straight. Something Paul Rankine and a small vociferous number of message board names have being doing their damnest to twist. What they'' won''t take is the fact that the vast majority of genuine City fans don''t have their pathological hatred of the club and so seem to spend every waking hour of their existence posting up attacks on every single thread they can find. True fans perhaps. Of or club, highly doubtful.
  4. " ur under contract." Don''t think much of Worthington''s Norfolk accent. Sounds more Cornish to me.
  5. A few words of advice for sunday. Some of you may find yourself in the pub in sat with a binner or two. If so please - 1. Do not laugh if he speaks with an accent that sounds like Jamie Oliver doing an impression of Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins. He is trying to impress you with his belief that sar-falk people speak with a different accent. 2. If he starts to tell you about their ''glorious history'' do remember to get up and stretch your legs occasionallyto avoid deep vein thrombosis. He will still be running on when you get back so don''t worry. Pinching your skin can help. 3. Try to keep a straight face if he mentions David Sheepshanks. Mr Sheepshanks is a businessman after all - as they repeatedly reminded us a few years back. 4. It is about £35,000 plus a week in interest payments if asked about their debt. Best to try an avoid the subject. The loan has "all been finaced" or so we were told. 5 Ipswich has many notable attractions so it would be better to discuss those rather than castles and cathedrals, airports and universities. Perhaps TV stations or the Keith Deller Museum of Famous Town fans (open 2nd Tues in the month 2-4pm) 6. Do not pat him on the head and say "of course" or fall asleep when halfway through a story of how Ipswich is everyone''s second favourite club.
  6. Weren''t we regularly told that it would all be stage managed by the club, no ''awkward'' questions and no tickets for non club people. Yet there were still tickets available on the day, questions seemed to be allowed and accepted. There was no ducking of any issue the. Club officials came out to meet the fans and answered questions. I can only wonder what those who repeatedly post up these lies and attacks (sponsorship today) are seeking to achieve other than to confirm where their true allegiance lies.
  7. One is a sport the other isn''t. Unfortunately we could well be heading that way if some of the halfwits have their way.
  8. " As a compromise, would an inflatable sheep be acceptable? " I would worry about over exciting our rural neighbours - I know they like to see themselves as ''cocker neez, innit guv gawd blimey " and would have us believe that Ipswich is some sprawling metropolis on the outskirts of London rather than some runty little town in the arse end of nowhere. I would also suggest that anyone from Wales would not be too amused to be linked to ''suffolk practices'' Best to just give the lad a fair deal of support throughout the game. Let''s get together and deafen the binners !
  9. That''s just what you are doing Paul or whoever you are. You are so desperate to denigrate the club that you have to make up stuff, speculate then, then damn the club on the basis of your anti club attitude. Odd in the same season that our third world neighbours have failed to get a sponsor for their North Stand and have seen their youth sponsors go belly up - rescued only by City agreeing to play a youth game at Poorman Road - you should choose to claim that this addition of sponsorship is the club " spinning stories and expecting the supporters to swallow it." You know naff all about this. The recent article on Earnshaw''s transfer has shown how much rubbish by people like you is posted on here. The only person " spinning stories and expecting the supporters to swallow it." is yourself. Perhaps you might care to tell us why as a supposed ''City fan'' that might be
  10. Chap from Southampton has posted - http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mb606/F2231914?thread=2156144 Almost word for word the sane message posted on here by the anti club brigade. Perhaps there is some website where student and ex student) types can download their gripes with only the need to change the club''s name.
  11. As my clerical friend would say " there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents." However there still remains a sneaky feeling that Captain Pugwash (or whoever he is got as this time) is like one of those old lags who suddenly find Christianity when doing a bit of time in chokey. Now there has been much wailing, gnashing of teeth and rending of shirts on here by the more hysterical of (and those who would wish to pass themselves of as) our fans. How can you be so rude and nasty to us they cry. Is it right that you should call us names and bring contempt upon our heads they ask, never once caring a flying fark about the effect their endless lies, misinformation and slander has upon those at the club. Any wonder Rick Waghorn chose to attack such cretinous behaviour. Paul Rankine posted up a message that was libellous only a few days ago . To what end ? The content made some pretty offensive allegations. What did he think he was hoping to achieve ? Neither is this is not an isolated Some on here seem to have nothing else to do but routinely post lies about the club, claims of financial irregularities, misuse of funds and any other tawdry smear that they think might have a chance of sticking. And yet anyone challenging these attacks are themselves attacked and denounced as Keep The Faithers. Bl00dy odd that you can be too much of a supporter but that is the warped way things are perceived (by some) on this board) Is this the level we have sunk to that speaking out in defence and support of the club is a treasonable offence - whereas those whose sole purpose for posting on this forum is to attack everything about the club are able to pass themselves of as defenders of our club''s welfare ? Despite the sh1te posted on here the common consensus outside of this insular world is that the board will know when the time is up for Worthington - be that four days or four years more. Discuss, argue and debate the merits of players, their abilities, the manager, the coaching staff even the bloody tea lady by all means but lets leave the lies, smears and slander to the filth over the border. We play host to our third world neighbours in a few days so perhaps it might be time to gird up our loins and set our faces to meeting the common foe. That ridiculous and absurd bunch of sad cockney wannabes from that runty little town in the arz end of nowhere chaired by a baboon''s arze coloured face and Bagpuss headed manager. ps apologies for the bibilical references but I''ve been round to see the local parson about his season ticket for my brother in law on sunday - two hours of sermonising about my errant ways, most of the bottle of communion wine I took and the old beggar then tells me he has got the sunday morning off that weekend !
  12. What about BINNER - Blues in Norfolk Not Enjoying Results. Though given the glee with which you are the rest of the anti club rabble seem to take in our defeat I would doubt if that is applicable as an acronym. A noun perhaps ?
  13. Those fine chaps at the Pinkun. It won website of the year at the EDF Energy East of England Media Awards. So despite our diifferences on here I do hope we can all unite in congratulating all those involved in producing this great site and give a special thanks to the long suffering folks who have to plough through all the old tosh that gets posted in by the many confused people who wander on here thinking it is part of their therapy treatment. Doubtlessly this awatd is in recognition of the high standards of journalism as well as for the layout that the site won this award. In that light am grateful that I am able to help in this manner by upping the quality threshold with my numerous carefully thought out and well constructed missives.
  14. I''ll have a word on sunday. Hopefully they''ll get someone who is allowed sharp objects. The grubby bits of paper written on in blue crayon and shoved through the letterbox tend to get swept up. I think there was a mass demonstration by the anti club brigade last week. Either that or there was two shifty looking undesirables hanging about in Morrison''s carpark hold up an old cornflake box with Werthey ot sacrawled upon it. It was the one with the blue and white bobble hat and elastoplast taped round his specs that gave most cause for concern.
  15. Not sure what on earth you are rambling on about other than you must be trying to curb your over enthusiasm for posting new threads. Might I suggest that, if in that light, you are going to add your ridiculous guff onto other threads you might care to pick the ones that relate to what you are chuntering on about. Do try a bit harder. You are university educated after all.
  16. Thought Safri was a muslim and teetotal - you are a binner and I claim my £5
  17. Cheers Branson. My thoughts exactly. Sadly the riffraff and lowlife that claim to be City fans have proven their true allegiance tonight. Anyone not joining in their anti club witch hunt is branded a keep the faither. Anyone replying to the constant barrage of lies, misrepresentions and slander is branded a keep the faither. Blindling ignoring what being a supporter is about. I''ve seen their sort come and go. I''ve seen them in Europe, in Wales at Wembley and at every big occasion but come the hard times and it''s whinge, whine, moan, bleat, groan, self pitying whine. If there is to be one light in these hard days it is that we shall be well rid off them soon.
  18. Wonder how many of this ragbag of malcontents will be wearing blue come sunday Tom ''cos anyone listening to them would be very hard pushed to believe they were City fans. Any wonder they are so anti our club.
  19. As the wizard chap (who appears, like the rest of the ragbag to be gloating about our defeat tonight, you have to wonder sometimes). All from our resident soothsayer and doommonger in chief - "Read todays ''spin'' from Curru Rd, we''re being ''softened'' up for no new signings." I''ve been told by a reliable source that there is NO money for new players, that''s right, no money!. " If you''re waiting for some major signing, forget it, there won''t be one, oh sure, they''ll make all the right noises, but thats all. Despite the spin coming out of Carrow Road, only enquires are being made about new players, just to keep the fans quiet during season ticket renewals. " and I''ll tell you this, if, if we get anyone in it will be someone like the God awful Lisbie in a Green transfer deal. " you couldn''t make it up - he can though
  20. Pint out where I have defended Worthington. My posts have been to defend the club against the ragbag of anti club malcontents and assorted binners who infest this board. A fair few tonight. Hopefully come next season we will have our club back. By the way Wizard. Have you rewritten you script about NO ONE JOINING US ?
  21. " That joker even asked for my ''credentials''! " Maybe because you came on here spouting off how much you knew based on your supposed credentials. So either put up or shut up. AS this is a forum then you should expect that your views will be challenged and there is a presumption on your part to sustain your arguments. Unfortunately the content of many posts of the posts on here have sunk to the level of " Delia is selling all of the seats to a foreign man which only goes to show the club has no ambition and Doncaster wants us all to stand up. " reply " That''s a load of old tosh, give us some proof " " Ooh boo hoo hoo, I''m allowed to have my opinion you mustn''t say I can''t have any opinion as it''s my opinion " One final point. Well said Fat Barman bloke. The moderators need to limit some of these over enthusiastic university chaps to a minimum number of new threads. One a month might maybe. Also that should apply to ALL the different names they post under as well.
  22. " take Safri ( blessings be on his name) out of the arguement, because he is pure class, " I wonder who signed him.
  23. I wholeheartedly agree. I have an opinion that many people post up ill thought out ideas and stuff based of lies and false premises. I think it''s wrong that people should be able to comment upon and criticise those opinions. This board should only allow people to say something and not have others answering them.
