1. Not trying to be a Mick Dennis apologist but he is a proper Norwich fan. He was the equivalent of David Cuffley on the Evening News (or EDP) in the mid 1970s, married a City fan & has been a fan ever since, member of Capital Canaries & I ''ve seen on the terraces/stands at loads of away game. Rochadale last season springs to mind. Just cause someone supports Delia doesn''t make them less of a fan and he was certainly a fan long before she came along
2. Obviously there must have been a change in either the earlier or later addition. The King''s Lynn story in mine is on page 49. Very strange but I''m not making it up. The addition we had at work & the one delivered at home were the same
3.   Amazing how any thread that isn''t 100per cent supportive soon drops down the list
4. The dividend is only paid on the preference shares not the ordinary shares. I don''t believe there has ever been a dividend on them. It is the ordinary shares that control the club, don''t think Pref shares have voting rights, so no D & M don''t get a massive dividend cheque each year. But hey  why let the facts get in the way of a bit more bashing
5. It is surely for exactly the reason that he is worth £1.7 billion that they haven''t come out and dismissed him out of hand. They still hope in some way  some of that cash will find its way into CR & don''t want to totally alienate him.  If he is sticking to his original offer however what is there to talk about. After all the prpoosal to date even if it was £20 million,  and I''d heard the same story as Sid that it was 5, is about 1.1% of his wealth
6. Where''s that come from and does it include when the youth team have friendlies which have already been announced
7. but Delia & Michael converted their loans into shares, so would get their money back if they sold at the price they paid - £25 a share. How many more times HE HAS NO INTENTION OF BUYING DELIA''S SHARES. page 48 yesterday''s EDP.
8. surely, the board should sell at the top - cos its likely to get worse, especially if we find ourselves in a relegation battle again??? yes, good point. It does make you wonder about the level of actual business acumen on the board and also wonder how many bad decisions over the years we have not been privvy to. Hang on a minute. According to Mr Cullum in yesterdays EDP (admittedly relegated to page 48 as opposed to seductive I''ll invest £20 million headlines on the front page), he has no intention of buying Delia''s shares so they CAN''T sell at the top. I am still waiting to see Mr Cullum actual proposal. All that has been reported so far is the informal chat last autumn of £5 million to take control of the club with a further £15 million later & that he would not pay of the debt so they would have to be refinanced..all reported in the EDP. Have I missed a later any update
9. I''m at work so apols if my typing is rushed & misspelled In  a statement on which he did not answer any questions he said "I''m keen to sit down with the board to progress this matter further My investment is focused on buying new players to give Norwich a fighting chance of returning to the Premiership. As I''ve always said it''s not my intention to buy Delia''s shares or to pay off the club''s debt. Along with everybody connected with Norwich City, I want the club to progress and not experience another season fighting against relegation to the First Division"
10. Amazing, last week we established that Good News Gordons reports were less than accurate on transfers, so why is he now the expert on what has  or has not ever been offered. Mr Cullums offer is the only one provable according to a poster above.I am probably deluded but all I''ve seen are the press reports that state he offered £5 million last Autumn( whenever) with the promise of £15 million more and he wanted control of the club. In todays EDP he says he does not want to buy Delia''s shares or take on the debt so please explain in words one syllable how that works. I''m not being facetious I really want it explained to me
11. Mr C has just quoted what happened at the AGM. No one disputes what Delia said, but he has produced absolutely no evidence that at that stage the club had been approached by Cullum. We were not even bottom at that stage let alone 5 points adrift. It appears to all the Board bashers that October as quoted by Mr Cullum must mean prior to the AGM whereas the approach was after possibly prodded by the outburst at the said meeting. It still fits the facts as spoken by both parties but of course that does not suit your purpose. I want investment in the club but not at any price
12. No. The Shareholders meeting was in early October. Mr Cullum''s first contact with the club was 2 weeks later.
13. Obviously many on this board take very little notice of off the pitch events at CR. After all in the last 10 years there have been events to commemorate 40 years after the 59 run, the Centenary, the Milk Cup final, 71/2 promotion and Europe.(Ipswich have actually copied us not vice versa) As I said before it doesn''t need to impact you, a bit of applause to some old players at half time in one game is surely not too much to ask and if you''re in the bar at h/t you won''t even notice. Leave those who do think the history of the club is worth commemorating to do so
14. Some of the comments on here reaaly incense me. City, throught the Historical Trust (the Greatest was NOT a trust event), have celebrated events in City''s history for the last few years. 58/59 was the launch pad for City in the last 50 years, we were promoted a year later and touch wood have not slipped back to where we had spent the vast majority of our previous existence.Probably before then hardly anyone was aware of Norwich City, those who remember it even a a small child know how Norwich became the talk of the country. Many of these events are organised not only for the fans to appreciate but also the players who took part and relish the opportunity to meet up with old colleagues. Speak to players who come back and they will tell you how much they enjoy and how much better City treat them than other clubs they played for. Many supporters are interested in City''s history, if you''re not..fine, you don''t have to attend any event organised. Its not depriving Glenn of funds, its not doing you any harm. If the morons south of the border are unable to accept that every side has moments of its history to celebrate/remember even the likes of Rochdale, Darlington etc it just shows their ignorance and arrogance
15.
I am very concerned about this, an under 21 english keeper, 400k??? I would want a 25% sell on clause, and a buy back clause of 1-1.5mill if this is true. The board could get this very very wrong!!
1 He hasn''t actually played for the under 21 s yet 2 Lee Camp had + had loads of Championship experience and he went for £300,000 3 What do you expect Joe to do for the next couple of years whilst Marshall is our number 1 or Steve Arnold, Declan Rudd etc 4 For the conspiracy theorists, this has nothing whatever to do with James Hollmans departure
16. I can guarantee that NCFC will not improve while this lumbering oaf is still at the club... people who pay this guys wages make a mockery of professional football. Well we can safely say that isn''t you as you contribute nothing financial, or anything else, to keeping the club afloat
17. I thought our number 7 Ross Kelly had a superb game and also something I never thought I''d say so did Rossi Jarvis
18. I can''t believe what short memories some City fans have or perhaps they were not about when this joker surfaced before. All the big plans that he would buy |Jimmy Jones shares.. yeah he bought 10 of them. Then it was off to Northamptonand despite the board & trust offering him a deal to come on board he vanished.  Millionaire?? He talk himself up well but has anyone ever seen the money and as for Dundee , I don''t think they''ve recovered from administration yet.. did a great job there
19. Great we''d really have all the agents he slagged off beating a path to our doors. We have enough trouble signing players now without having a manager who''s persona non grata with most of them
20. Sorry meant Sept 96, not 95, but the premise is still the same Delia didn''t  become a drector till two months later. Mike Walker who was appointed in May/June 96 sold him cause of his attitude. obviously he''s a lot older and a better professional now
21. Re the original message, Jamie went to Bristol Rovers in Sept 95 Delia didn''t become a director till  a couple of months later. Yet another made up story to make one of the board look bad. Make them credable for heavens sake
22. Not exactly cut it in England has he but maybe he''s a late developer http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=33466
23. Warner 7 Didn''t have much to do Hughes 5 oh those crosses Dublin 8 Shacks 7 Drury6 Croft 7 despite being battered Spillane 7 best I''ve seen him play in first team or ressies Etuhu 8 Eagle5 not enough pace or strength Renton 6 Did pretty well first half but struggled a bit second, Martin 6.5 would have been 7 but for one bad miss subs Earnie 7 getting fitter Bally not really time to judge Referee 4. 100% agree with Granty. Totally inconsistent ie foot up by Croft foul, foot up by Burnley player on Croft not a foul, push by Dublin foul, push on Rents play on. Same arrogant idiot that caused us to have to go to Burnley midweek, in other words a typical Premiership ref
