  1. Susie B, good on you for emailing the powers that be as regards this issue, I hope they take your comments and the issues you raised seriously as its quite a contencious decision on their part to allow Ronnie Moore to voice his allegations. I didn''t see the programme, but can imagine that Ronnie Moore was somewhat biased and using the platform afforded him to try and weasel his side out of any wrong-doing... Look forward to hearing whatever comments you get back from Skysports... ps: are you in Manchester? I vaguely remember some thread a while back where I think you said you were... I''m in Manchester too... A.
  2. A SAE idea would be good to cover the folks, such as myself, who live miles away (Manchester) Selfish I know to be thinking of just myself but the sticker would look mint somewhere wehere my Uni mates can see it, especially as I''m sure there are some peeps from Ips**t at my Uni... Looking forward to finding out whats happening...
  3. The ball boys at Carrow Road are probably frightened that the visiting players will do a ''Paulo Wanchope'' on them if they don''t return the ball quick enough...
  4. Lost a lot of the small amount of respect that I had for Garth Crooks after his comments... as I guess quite a few other posters on here did too... Silly man!
  5. Whilst not necessarily agreeing with some of 1stWizards postings (no offence meant...) I totally agree with this posting... Seeing as how City fans are all equally blessed/cursed (delete as applicable) with the blood of yellow and green, it seems increasingly saddening to see people come on here to belittle others... Banter is a productive and humourous way for people, especially football fans, to communicate and interact, but personal and insulting references cannot be considered banter, instead they reek of being a form of bullying; that which is prevalent in the schoolyards at primary and secondary schools up and down the country... However as grown ups, which lets be honest we all are, lets conduct ourselves as such instead of cheap shots at each others expense... I''m not taking one persons standing over another, and refuse to be drawn into any other conversation about someone insulting someone over someone else, as its all bulls**t, but in 2004, surely there should be no place for anonymous bullying anywhere?!? ---rant over--- happy new year, one and all...
  6. WBA even started playing in our kit, to try and blag Wimbledon that they were playing us and subsequently had no chance... Glad the Dons took the 2 points off of them though, does us a few favours... I keep finding myself wanting the rest of results in Division One to be draws, that way, no-one can get momentum to catch us, not that we''re slowing for anyone mind...
  7. I''d go for that formation and list of personnel, seems pretty balanced and with Hucks and McV on the wings theres plenty of pace... Could also see Hucks and McV swapping at various points of the game, to bamboozzle the oppositions defenders...
  8. I''m in total agreement with Saint Canary, I think Worthington would see it as a major step backwards if Greeno was to be sold now, with the promise of promotion so very close... I doubt think he would have taken Huckerby over Greeno...
  9. Old Man Andy: cheers for the info mate... Didn''t think about the subject line quite like that till you replied...
  10. Can anyone shed any light on this, was he signed in time to play?
  11. As regards next season, who from our current squad is truly premiership class? The likely men are: Green, Drury, McVeigh, Holt, Mulryne and Huckerby in my opinion. Doesn''t that leave us a bit thin on the ground as regards quality? I think Jarvis, Hendo and Shackell are the next generation, but even if they play blindingly well next season, that still means we''ve only got about nine Prem-quality players. Anyone know how good Dean Sinclair is? I only heard about him when he replaced Holt a while back.
  12. guess thats 12 wins and a draw now..? I think other teams near the top are also gonna do us favours with teams taking points off one another...
  13. Totally agree, Hendo is playing superbly, has the right kind of temperament and is itching to improve and play for City... seemingly unlike Easton and Rivers...
  14. Was it Neilson who had number six at the beginning of the season? Hope Huckerby doesn''t go the same way...
  15. just outta interest, what band you going to see? I shall no doubt be jabbering on to housemates, friends and anyone else who''ll listen about what a good signing we''ve just made, think I might even have a drink or two, in quiet (yeah, bol**cks!!) celebration, follwoed by a nice relaxing bath to wipe away the stress of the last 7-10 days... Might even have a short break from sitting watching this messageboard and reaffirm my life...
  16. Cobler Town: Hope you didn''t think I was taking the piss..? I thought the posting was an appropriate one, just taken aback by the length of it... I''m sorry if you thought I was taking the mickey out of your posting, as a City fan, your posting is just as valuable as anyone elses... Re: Sunday, I too am getting nervous too, living in Manchester however, I won''t be able to watch the match, see the match on TV or listen to it, so I''ll be relying on WAP updates on my mobile, an expensive (but necessary) way to keep abreast of whats going on at Carrow Road and at matches. Anyways, thought it best to apologise, just in case you thought I was being a cheeky sh*t...
  17. ...has been the longest in recent memory for me... The game against Cardiff seems like a month ago... Can''t wait till Sundau, think we''ve a very good chance of putting one over Ips**t in their playground area... OTBC.
  18. Cheers Neilson 6. Anyone else''s contract up at the end of the season?
  19. Cheers Saint Canary for the update, had been wondering why he''d not got a game as of yet...
  20. Whens Paul''s contract up? is it at the end of the season?
  21. After all the furore has died down about the strikers, I think perhaps we may need to start thinking longer term about getting a decent defender to cover the back/replace the rather ageing Mackay and a decent right midfielder who''s willing to cross on the run... As regards the suggestion of defenders, what do people think about getting Darren Kenton back in, on either a short term loan or a season long loan? He''s way down the pecking order at S''hampton and we all know what he can do, he knows the players around him... I do think however, we''re perhaps a defender or two short at present, and Mackay and Fleming are getting on a bit... Haven''t decided who I think we should look at for right midfield, but I''ll let you know when I''ve identified someone... Just a quick observation, how weird is it that the National team is crying out for a left midfielder and we''ve got two decent (but ''foreign'') ones whilst we can''t find a decent right midfielder, and there seems to be millions of them for England...
  22. I suspect that the board may have been doing one of two things: - keeping schtum about the fact that they had the money all along, so as not to let the signing of Huckerby become an auction with the highest bidder getting his signature, OR, - the share offer has been hugely successful, but again they''re keeping quiet for the reason stated above... whichever way about it, I ain''t gonna complain, it surely bodes well...
  23. I thought AM had gone to Wolves? Am I mistaken? I thought I read somewhere he''d been handed a free and had joined them... I remember thinking there was a real sense of irony in him join them, as both are hated by Norwich fans (although from what I''ve heard, Wolves are almost as hated as Arsenal and Man Utd by supporters nationally...) My mate who supports Shrewsbury despises them as much as I do, and I doubt Shrewsbury have ever played Wolves... Whats the anacronym for Wolves? something rather abusive if I remember rightly... anyone care to remind me?
  24. that has to be the longest sentence anywhere on this board... says everything that everyone''s feeling though, so good on you matey...
  25. I think the situation of the transfer window being closed is only relevant for players moving TO the Premiership. As far as I know, any deal where a player moves from the Prem to a lower league team is fine. Loans are organised on the same basis, unless its a keeper required and the club in questions keepers are injured/ill. Any loans organised before the window closed, ie, like Paul Konchesky/Chris Perry, can still be extended, but no ''new'' loans can be organised. Thats only based on what I can hazily remember reading somewhere just before the transfer window closed, I could be mistaken... The main website suggests that Huckerby could still play against Ips**t next weekend so that would back up what I''ve said. We just need to get him signed before 12pm on friday for him to play... (Plenty of time...?!?!) If this is wrong and someone knows the actual facts, pleas efeel free to correct me, as like I said, this is all based on memory...
