  1. but why would Hasslebaink sign a nine month contract? It surely would not be his idea of security. Anyway, i reckon he could accept £30k a week? How old is he?
  2. so just confirm this for me..... On a Saturday night, I can select NCFC & then watch 50 mins (over half the game) of highlights from that days games? Really? That would be ace!!!! What a top idea!!
  3. No. But please tell me you are right!!
  4. I would dream about those results!! We would probably start top of the league & deny arsenal their 43rd (?) unbeaten game in a row!! But who can dare to knock such optimism!!
  5. I was only 14 at the time and she was 11 & I was accompanied by my dad but I went out to dinner Anna Kournikova.
  6. I think this would be an ace loan. From what I saw of him last season, he is super quick & gets brought down for penalties becuase of his pace. With Hux on the left, Bentley on the right, Pongo up the middle would be a a lightning spearhead attack!!
  7. This weekend I heard that Arsenal & us came to the agreement for Bentley around the time of the Sunderland game. It was then left to the player to come & visit us, sign the papers, job done. But in principle the deal was done over a month ago!
  8. My story is from Cardiff at the play off final. The was me, my bird, my big brother and my mate richie. We were having a great day, and wanted to find an offee to get some beers in. We had walked past the EDP sponsored pub and it was a joy to look at - yellow chested canaries everywhere. Anyway, whilst walking round the other side of the ground we began to see more and more B''ham fans. Now I''m an eternal optimist and reassured richie, kate and my bro that all would be fine - besides it was a sunny day. We turned the next corner and it was blue as far as you could see. oh well i thought, grabbed my girlfriends hand and we walked towards them, then into them. I can remember just hearing an insanely loud chorus of "who the F*cking hell are you?" At this point is was starting to become a little intimidating as the shaven headed monkeys. At which point they poured beer all over richies head - poor old richie!!
  9. Ok, so we have a few months on our hands with Carrow road a quiet place, with revenue hardly flowing in at a rate. Not sure about the rest of rest of you, but I can not wait till the video highlights of the season come out. I''ve talked to my mates about it and we will all sit down with some beers, perhaps even some bubbly, to watch and re-live it again! Which got me thinking - why don''t NCFC stage a video launch party at Carrow rd? Not only would this publicise the video, so everyone knows when to buy it, but also get people through doors, beer bought, and revenue to the club. Not to mention the occasion itself which would be another good chance to celebrate the season with fellow canaries. And in case watching it at the ground deterred people from buying it, maybee once people pre-order it from the club shop or online, they get a complimentary ticket to the launch. If any of you lot out there are involved in the running of the commercial side of the club / ground, is this an idea that could be feasible?
  10. Can I recommend a great new CD? Try an album by the Zutons, called ''Who killed the Zutons?''
  11. I read last night in London''s evening standard, a quote by Pardew: "In my mind the four teams that finished in the play offs this year are the ones that would be most likely to survive in the Premiership." Who the hell is this guy trying to kid?!!! Palace, Binmen??????
  12. Whoopsie... just noticed that this is indeed an old thread. Oh well, canaries are great, binmen are ****, Have a good weekend all...........
  13. Saint. Of course!! Come on Wizard!! I take your point about about publicity, but Delia gets the club more publicity, which in turn makes people talk about us, and potentially could attract players to us - if Burnley had been promoted instead of us, would they have so much press attention. And yep, she did save our bacon like you said, and also coughed up when Worthy asked. I do feel a little sorry for the staff when Delia gets all the credit, but it may also help put off other clubs nicking our staff What would you ideally like Delia to do? Shut down the succesful catering side of the business? When you look up at the balcony on Monday, and see us lift the trophy I hope you will feel that she is a saint.
  14. Yep, I agree there will be more than 30,000 surely? Me & my mate have got the day off work & am coming up from London specially so thats 30,002 for starters!! It''s gonna be crazy!!!! Also, we are watching the game in one of the lounges on Sunday - does anyone know whether the bars will be open for the rest of the day? Not that I want to get drunk, just want to trickle more revenue into the canary coffers! Can''t wait!!! Just hope Monday is nice weather!!
  15. enjoy susie B, meing in London, I have to put up with the likes of Arsenal tonight, but will be thinking of all you lot. But am down on Sunday, can''t wait!!
  16. can''t be bothered to be honest Canaria!! Just hoped there may have been an eagle eyed photographer on the prowl, or some drunken youths spilling out of Manhattens (if it''s still called that) with a camera phone. Oh well, i presume we take Wallers Word on this one.
  17. I would happily see Jarvis & Hendo go out on loan, if can bring bring in some ''stronger'' players. They are our future, but need 1st team footy which I can''t imagine they will get next year. Bring on the Bentley!
  18. Thanks Canaria, but if there is no proof whatsoever, then how do we know he did it? Perhaps he could do once round the market on Monday - say about 7pm?
  19. Hi there, Just wondering what your hours are? Are you there in the evenings / 24 hrs?? Also, out of interest, do you get many posts from opposing fans (binmen) that you can''t post? Just being curious! Either way, you do a great job, thanks.
  20. I know Roy Waller promised he would run round Norwich naked if we signed the Huck, and said he would do it in the middle of the night round the market. Living in the rotten apple that is London, I haven''t been keeping up to date with the EDP, etc... So does anyone know whather this happened, whether roys meat and two veg have dangled in the East Anglian midnight breeze yet?!!
  21. Been having a think... I reckon Ray Parlour would be a perfect signing if we could meet his wage demands. Anyone know how much contract he has left? Surely arsenal will strengthen their squad again in the summer, and I can''t imagine old Parlour figuring much in their plans. We need one season professional that has the kind of experience old Parlour has in abundance. Also he can play on in the middle, or on our problem right position. What are anyone''s thoughts on this?
  22. Marcus Bent. he''s been on loan all season at Leicester, they are going down. If Ipswich don''t get promoted, he will be on his way. But I''d rather have Crouch.
  23. I hope u r right. However, when we talk of spanking teams, we always come unstuck - especially when we are on a run. Remember Watford, Bradford? I really hope I''m being a fool for sounding sceptical!!!
  24. but then you have to weigh up the pros & cons Eam. Ok, we could save ourselves some cash - but if seen as not playing him so we don''t give P''boro their ''rightfully'' earned cash, there goes our relationship with our fenland neighbours. The same neighbours that gave us Drury & MacKenzie, and seem to churn out good players on a regular basis. Perhaps not the best long term move. Besides, it''s a little harsh on the Leon too. But fair point though - i thought the same
  25. But whats to say Hucks won''t get Player of the Year? Who else desrves it more?
