5.
Ideally we would be able to put another stand on top of the Main stand, but I''m fairly certain that it cannot be done for structural reasons, so it would have to come down and be rebuilt.   That poses a major problem that is always overlooked. Where do you put the 4000 ticket holders from that stand whilst a new one is being built ? Presuming that they will not object to being shoved in willy nilly elsewhere around the ground amongst the great unwashed, there is still the problem of finding the spare seats. It would probably mean allowing season ticket numbers to run down and selling them as casuals, cutting the casuals when the building work starts and reducing the away tickes. Not an easy task.   How big would it be ? Two tier, which would tie in with the Barclay and Riverend Stands. That would generate anotherb 4000 seats. Three tier, which would put the capacity up to 35,000 ?   Unfortunately, as the Wigan and Spurs cup games have shown there is not the demand there to fill those seast. Yes, for the top games (Man Utd, Arsenal etc) but not for the rest. The only way to stimulate that demand is to cut the ticket prices. However any cuts will have to apply across the board. And the rough calculations I have seen suggest that very quickly you reach a point where to increase ticket sales you go into a net loss.   Currently with the eye watering sums being talked of from TV money there is possibley a good argument to be made for using a few million to subsidise the new stand, ticket prices etc. However, we are talking of a repayment schedule of over 20 years. Can we guarantee 20 years of being in the Premiere League ? 20 years of TV money staying at the high levels it is now ?   If relegation does follow could we continue to subsidies those seats. We would have to continue to make the payments on the loan, but we would be in a position of seeing attendances fall, with a further loss of income. I think tickets would have to fall dramatically to achieve 35,000 at home to Barnsley.   Sadly, we still have fans who think that any increase in capacity will lead to a net increase in revenue. It will not. That an increase in catering/coroprate facilities will lead to another net increase in revenue. There is no certainty there. You cannot simply drum up business solely on the basis of having extra facilities. Nor can you be certain others won''t enter the market in direct competition to you.   So, when someone can give at least show where the 4000 displaced ticket holders are going to go then maybe there might be discussion about how much risk the club should be putting itself in.
Where did they go after the City Stand burned down and it was being rebuilt?   OTBC
 6.
Good - he gets in wrong most weeks! Draw!
That''s what I reckon too!   But let''s hope the match won''t be dull so as to make us fall asleep like nutty''s relatives......   OTBC

 8.
These stories always make me laugh, every time there''s a major tournament the papers decide that it won''t go ahead as planned and England will host it instead, makes you wonder who falls for this.
Ask Earnie what he reckons.   OTBC

 10.
Hmm, isn''t that just the "fan rating"?
Yes. I think they have an ongoing  mixed pool of fans they use as a testing board and resource.   If I''m correct then the outcome this week would be a valid third party endorsement, n''est ce pas?   OTBC
 11. Some peope shrug it off, but third party endorsement is clearly far more meaningful than self-endorsement.   OTBC

 16. If he feels he has a point to prove after being benched by Swansea this season then he could be an excellent acquisition for us. Or is he not a big enough step up in quality?   What do you reckon?   OTBC
