  1. Yes, he said he came through as a coach at Wrexham and had done his coaching badges on the high performance podcast he did.
  2. To be fair to Everton, they have ended the relationship they have with Usmanov and stopped all ties with Russian companies. Will cost them a lot of money by the sounds of it but their fans seem to back it.
  3. I mean games are mainly won by not giving away two stupid penalties.
  4. Strange how Rashica had a goal ruled offside before that, if we didn’t even look a threat.
  5. I’d go with this although I would put Rowe in, instead of Sergeant.
  6. I suspect managers must be looking at or for different things than fans are, there are plenty of examples in football across loads of clubs where managers keep playing some players and their fans don’t understand why. McLean is one, consistently picked by Farke and Smith, he must be offering something these managers want or he simply wouldn’t be. Sorensen is interesting in the other direction, fans love him and think he’s exactly what we need as a CDM but when available neither Farke nor Smith picked him for that position. I don’t think either of them are bad managers and actually, they have both largely used the same players as a first team. So I think it must be fairly clear that McLean is doing whatever it is they want him to do, whether fans like it or not, or he’d be on the bench.
  7. Well that’s why I said the subs changed the game. Sergeant going on…Rowe being up top gave an out ball etc. It doesn’t take away that the first half was as poor as any other game this season and that included the midfield. It’s not like we didn’t get forward or press at all in other games, after their goal we almost didn’t leave their half. It was the same as every other poor half we watched this season.
  8. The midfield was awful first half. Hardly had the ball and we were constantly played through. It was after the subs that we started getting forward and creating more.
  9. Dixon was awful. It’s one thing to criticise the play, and we deserved it for much of the game, but some of what he was saying was kind of unprofessional.
  10. Dixon is a complete ****. I don’t know why some channels insist on having a miserable co-commentators who sound like getting paid to talk about football is some kind of punishment. He has been biased and insulting, hope I never have to listen to him again.
  11. Alisson’s kicking is dreadful. Close him down and he’s a mistake waiting to happen.
  12. This is worse than the first game, when they played their good players.
  13. How many ****ing nutmegs are they going to do to us? That’s 2 now.
  14. I wonder if he’ll actually be allowed to keep the profits of those sales? Sadly I doubt Boris will grow a pair and he’ll let him **** off with the money that ought to be sanctioned.
  15. How do those stats look for the other players that have played an equal number of games? He’s not a one man team after all, our results aren’t down to whether he plays or not and aren’t just his fault. I’m also slightly amused at the idea we’ve had a “best spell” which consists of 3 wins and a draw, one of which games he played the whole game and another he was a sub. Two of which games we won because we are playing fellow relegation candidates in Watford and Everton. I don’t think he’s best suited to Norwich and hasn’t shown the form he does for Scotland and Chelsea, but its honestly pathetic in how far some fans want to reach to to find reasons to blame him, or other individual players, for what is overall a collectively poor season.
  16. The problem is that we are too slow at moving the ball. The midfielders do run into space but by the time the centre halves decide to pass it they are closed down. Much as I really like Gibson you can literally see him trying to work out what pass to make even when he has options there. At this level it all needs to be really quick.
  17. The problem with hoofball is without Idah holding it up, it comes straight back again. It did that yesterday. That’s why they were trying to pass it out, to try to keep possession and get it forward. I think it might have worked better but there were too many wrong option passes attempted, ones that weren’t ever going to make it.
  18. I wondered if we hadn’t recovered properly tbh. Two pretty hard games against Man City and Liverpool (hard on us since we did most of the running) and unlike a lot of other teams, we don’t have much ability to rotate as there aren’t many better options in the squad. I thought they looked tired/leggy.
