lake district canary 4,531 Posted April 1, 2014 Just found out that plans are in place for the Hotel at CR to be replaced with a new away fans area. It will be separated from the Barclay and Jarrold Stand by a safety screen. The new stand will be built during the close season and will be ready for the new season. To be called the "Cook''s Corner" after Delia Smith and to be financed by the proceeds of her next book "How to Make Egg dishes without using Eggs", projected to be a bestseller. Wow! lake district canary 4,531 Posted April 1, 2014
You leaving the Pinkun would probably cheer more people up
Yeah, it must be terrible having someone pointing out the reality of the situation all the time. Its much more fun to go to the extreme and see everything as terrible and awful and doom and gloom. The middle ground is much more boring, but unfortunately for you extreme drama queens, that is where most people are - in the middle ground and seeing the bigger picture. Most of them can''t be bothered to put their views on here because they would just get ridiculed and shouted down, much like the ones on here do who try to be reasonable. Tumbleweed 106 Posted April 1, 2014 I think most people actually see the reality quite clearly LDC, and are very concerned by what they see. They project ahead to the only time that matters which is the final whistle on the day the season ends. There is much evidence to suggest we are not where we should be and may very well be where we definitely don''t want to be at that time. Many have also put forward their solutions to the problem, sometimes forcefully, and have different views on when those solutions should be implemented. Those people often get shouted down by others who claim they are overreacting, but assessing the evidence and reaching one''s own conclusion about the longer term consequences is far from being a drama queen, it is a natural result of expressing one''s free opinion in the context of the passion that football engenders. My point was aimed at those who like to milk the situation to the n''th degree by taking us down the insulting and ridiculing path, either gratuitous insults at the manager or players, or at posters who are just trying to discuss the situation. It is they who are the drama queens and who are wallowing in our plight. There is a case for both sides of the argument - as well as the middle ground, but fighting past the insulting trolls and drama seekers on here makes normal discussion quite difficult. Surfbird 1 Posted April 1, 2014 The thing is LDC that most people who contribute to this message board are themselves April Fools who think they know all about football management but in fact know nothing about anything judging by their crackpot comments. Most of them are just a waste of space and not worth responding to.
Matt Hopkins 0 Posted April 1, 2014 It''s not that funny Lakedistrict when, if you check, you will find that the company owning the Hotel has gone into liquidation.
