First Wazzock 1,010 Posted February 23, 2013 Lee MasonYet another display of incredible ineptitude.I think it was Jelavic who was flagged offside after a few minutes. He then went on to slam the ball wide after the whistle - no yellow card, not even a talking to. Fellaini later on thought he had been fouled - didn''t get the decision - so with the red mist descending sprints 20 yards to put in a bad foul. And guess what, no yellow card and not even spoken to. That was a shockingly bad piece of reffing, as it took an eternity to restart the game, with Everton players moving the ball to where they wanted the kick to be taken, and failing to get back the 10 yards. At this point I was wondering who was in charge of the game, Lee Mason or two of the Everton defenders. What made it even worse was the booking of Holt for a run of the mill foul, it appeared he couldn''t get the card out quickly enough. Missed a couple of what looked like handballs (one for each!). Gave a couple of free kicks when it appeared the defender blocked the forward and they both went over, when it seemed it should have gone the other way. Didn''t speak to Tim Howard or any of the defenders for some chronic time wasting (I felt Howard should have been carded).Lee Mason - 3 Poor
Icecream Snow 777 Posted February 23, 2013 David Moyes refused to shake his hand, and was moaning in his interview that he played 20 seconds longer than he should have done!
step 0 Posted February 23, 2013 3 is generous Wazzy...awful displayGives a handball against a Norwich player 2 yards from a ball kicked at full plet but doesnt return the favour. However he did give Holty a foul late in the game that all season has earnt him a booking and a foul against. Not sure why but always seem to be against 12 men when we Play Everton

The blood was gushing from the injury. Johnson was lucky not to get red carded. The ref missed both Turner and Martin doing bear hugs at set pieces, no penalties given against us.And our winner came in the fourth minute of three minutes added on - so we were pretty lucky from a refereeing point of view.Lee Mason - you''re a star! Houston Canary 0 Posted February 23, 2013 Time added is the minimum, so if the ref goes over, it''s ok. Besides that, refs almost never blow the whistle in the midst of an attack, and had he done so, it''s unlikely he''d make it out of CR alive.
QHcanary 0 Posted February 23, 2013 There did seem to be a fair few weird decisions today, and BJ was certainly lucky not to get in strife for clipping Fellaini. Tim Howard wasted far more than 20 seconds. A fact that David Moyes would do well to remember. Whinging tw*t.
Branston Pickle 4,145 Posted February 23, 2013 It is wholly irrelevant when the goal came - you always play to the whistle and it is the ref who decides when time is up, not the manager. Fact is, he went about 25 secs over in total before blowing for time (seems more as we took a couple of minsto get back for the restart), which is barely anything - just one goal kick with Howard time wasting would cover that. Fellaini missed Johnson with the left hook and then tried with the right and missed again. He then spent 30 seconds shouting in Mason''s face. Result? Nothing. Extremely weak refereeing. He also missed Fellaini''s hand-ball in the Everton area when he was grabbing Turner and Bunn ending up in the net on two separate occasions from blatant shoving. A star? Hardly. AJ 1,358 Posted February 25, 2013 It''s a shame with Fellaini, as he''s clearly talented - but his serious attitude problems taint him - the same goes for players like Nolan, and Shawcross. They need to take a look at Rooney and cut out the nonsense - football shouldn''t be about that. But yes, really annoyed me when Fellaini went for ''revenge'' on Johnson after the ref waved play on - has to be a yellow at least. The shocking state of refereeing at times is crazy - what is this teaching kids who are growing up with today''s football?!
