Yes but what happens if we miss out on the targets once again lime we did cms? We do currently have the squad to be messing about the laat7/8 games has shown us that. Considering we get 65m for staying up paying say 2mil over the odds on a player to stay up wouldnt be a bad idea!!!

Wow what an overreaction. Lisbon are desperate for money so if we wait until later they are more likely to accept our offer. Hooper and RVW are not our only two targets I would be suprised if there are less than 10 to be honest. Have faith in the board and Hughton they weren''t doing so badly 4-5 games ago.

I don''t read anything into Hughton''s comments.

If he turned round and said, yeah someone will be in tomorrow, and it hit a hitch then everyone would be panicking.

He''s just giving himself and NCFC time, and probably sending a message to Lisbon/Celtic/whoever that we not going to be pushed around on price so much.

Simo what a ridiculous post. Haven''t you seen Harry''s comments saying it''s like gang warfare out there trying to buy players at the moment and Paul Lambert saying that players he went for had gone to other clubs so he couldn''t buy anyone. Also if you are going to be so unthinkingly critical at least get your grammar correct we didn''t done it we did it!

Stop being a tool.

And you mention harry, saying about gang warfare, hasnt stoped him bringing in some quality though has it, not newcadtle for that matter.

Thats the one thing under lambert, he done buisness early, job done, let others scramble around for the dregs at the end of the window.

I dont think some people realise how important one or two QUALITY players are to us, in our position.

Unless Hooper or RVW are gone by thursday then we wouldn''t be after the crap at the bottom of the barrell would we?

IF Hughton did mean what he said then the issue with that is that you are not giving the selling club any time to buy replacements (assuming they need replacements) and thus they may be inclined to hold on to the player or at least hold on to them until the summer.  Either way it''s not good for us should this be the case.  In the case of both Celtic and Sporting they have said they would be looking to bring in replacements.

If that''s the case it puts them in a stronger position should we wait till the bitter end.
