Jacko 0 Posted November 25, 2012 Doesn''t look like talksport have got this from a reputable source. Just some suspect twitter account. I personally can''t see Martin O''Neill walking away yet but I think it is only his reputation which means people aren''t asking more searching questions. 2 wins in 20 odd league matches is a truly dismal run (1 win which was heavily distorted by an early sending of Hangeland). The big thing for me though is his total lack of imagination in the transfer market. His template seems to be: Are they British? Have I worked with them before? Are they overpriced? You need to show much more imagination than that. People talk about Lambert as his mentor but I honestly believe Lambert has the ability to go much further than him because he seems to have appreciated that you are allowed to sign players from outside the British Isles. York Canary 29 Posted November 25, 2012 Would have been really interesting if they''d lost to Fulham. They were lucky they got a man sent off in that game. We just need to stick the knife in when we play them. They may as well have Bruce back at the moment but we all know O''Neill will probably turn things around. The more teams around us struggle the better. Things could look very different soon as the bottom clubs all seem to be playing each other in next few games. We must, must, MUST keep away from that zone by picking up points everywhere we can.. I know ppl keep saying next game is massive (and every game is) but the next 1 really is again. Cannot give Southampton 3pts!
Number 9 0 Posted November 25, 2012 Rumor broke during Collymore''s program, they asked club and club said non story.
Bill 1,788 Posted November 25, 2012 "The more teams around us struggle the better" Given that Sunderland are 3 points away from us (or around us) then that struggle will have to include teams up to Spurs in 8th, who are ''around us'' - clubs who are actually only 2 points away from us That''s nearly half the table needing to struggle, which would mean those in the bottom 4 having to pick up points to make those 9 teams struggle

basil brush 0 Posted November 25, 2012 O''Neill doesn''t seem at the races. His looks a bit lost, worn and doesn''t have his usual humour or enthusiasm. If he does leave Sunderland, I think he will leave the game for good.

nutty nigel 7,902 Posted November 25, 2012 He''s 60 and presumably quite well off so he doesn''t have to do it. But then ''arry''s 65 and just took on the mess that''s QPR. Perhaps Rosie cut him out of her will so he''s hard up?
