Wickham

Apart from the fact his played for those down he road, is he any good? Bbc have on their morning gossip that Sundrland want to send him on loan, and I think we all agree we need a. Bit more fire power.

And yes I am ready for the abuse!

Don''t think he is the type of player we need. We need a pacey forward who knows where the net is, Only problem is so do most teams!

That would make sense as I saw a large black car pull up at Colney yesterday and I thought the player who got out was Conor Wickham.  Especially when I realised the vehicle wasn''t a black cab - it was an "Acne Carriage".

I''ll be here all week.

We''re not able to loan anyone in until January; hopefully by then our strikers will have found the net on numerous occasions and we will have shot up the table.

Why can we not loan anyone?

He is only 19 so wouldn''t have to be named in our 25 man squad, I thought that could be the only hitch? Am I wrong?

Why do people still not know Premiership clubs can''t loan players outside the transfer window?

Ever since Transfer windows have existed thats been the case hasn''t it? I personally can''t remember any out of window Premiership loans, other than the very rare GK emergency loan.

And no, can''t see him helping at all. There is a reason Sunderland want to send him out on loan, like Spurs wanted to send Kane out on loan. Of course the chance of them being good and scoring a few is there, but essentially they are not ready for Premiership football. Only striker thats going to help us now in my opinion is an experienced Premiership goal scorer. We have the arial threat in Morison and Holt. We have the hard working fast player in Jackson. We need someone, and I don''t care if they are small, big, slow or fast that knows how to hit the back of the net regularly in the top league (doesn''t necessarily have to be English league, players from Spain, Germany, Italy, France could all be good enough)

No new faces until the next window.

Written in stone.

Re: Connor Wickham.

The same thoughts had occured to me. He showed incredible promise whilst at 1p5hit and appeared to be well worthy of the massive Sunderland investment. I believe, that with add-ons, this could have eventually reached some £15m.

Clearly things will not work out for him under Fartin'' Martin O''Neill, but there must be gold in them there hills.

If he is able to approach the levels of his early reputation, which is highly likely IMO, then it may be a good move to bring him back to East Anglia at cut price.

ok, so if we do still look light up front in jan, who would we like?

Hooper is looking good, rumors were of an 8m price tag, which may be a bit high for us. At present he is also getting champions league football

Any real possible tagets?

We take a chance on a lower league player like Ashton. Or get someone affordable from abroad I guess. The chances of a EPL side selling a proven goalscorer to another EPL club in January are pretty remote I reckon.

Why oh why would a player with great promise want to leave a big club on the up like Sunderland and get tarnished with a team who is going down?

Clearly he thought he had moved to a bigger club when he left the paupers.

Incidentally, the last time I looked at the Championship table it appeared that some other club, of ill-repute, were "going down" as you so intituitively put it.

Now p-ss off.

The question you should be asking yourself is having got all that money for the boy blunder, and all those millions from the boy mucus, why have you only got a ragbag collection of loans and problem players that nobody else would touch with a bargepole at your grubby little club.

Sadly another one of Jonathan Barnetts ''prospects,'' where the hype has quickly worn off. As with the ever open mouthed ''plug'', who was to be the next England keeper for a decade. Unfortuately all he kept was numerous benches warm, as away from the noo too bright gaze of poorman road and it''s even dimmer fans it was obvious to all that sh ite didn''t rhyme with wright for no reason.

Still there was the ever clumsy Tortoise Bumble (og) who, we were told, was not only to be a future England regular but it''s captain ! Well he has certainly been a regular on the opponents score sheet, as well as warming the bench in various nicks up and down the country.

It appears Mr O''Neill regards him as much use as he does that other useless oaf, the boy blunder. A clod hopper who made his name shoving much smaller youths about before he joined in adult football. Unfortunately grown ups have a tendency to shove back, which rather left the ''honey monster'' with little left to offer - bar an appalling disciplinary record whilst at poorman road.

I can see no reason for him to come to Carrow Road, unless he is to be used to donkey trot in front of the snake pit so as to provide another bit of amusement, as before - or perhaps in some charity game where City play the paupers to help keep them from going bankrupt, again.

Though even with our regular full houses it would still require every one of us to cough up around three grand on the night to bail out the paupers, given their current astronomical debt - or around £10 if we were to pay off Chopras ''gambling'' debts.  Would be a wonderful gesture though, us playing our impoverished neighbours and our fans all waving ten pound notes in support of their penniless club.

ps all those bets the suffolk dimwits were putting on that ''arry Redknapp would be their next mamager, did Chopra give them the inside info ?
