chicken 0 Posted July 9, 2011 I know chris martin can take a good direct free kick but i was just wondering if anyone knew if any of the new players are handy at it?

Salopian 1 Posted July 9, 2011 Surman, Fox, Wes? - depending where on the pitch
Salopian 1 Posted July 9, 2011 Surman, Fox, Wes, Lappin depending where on the pitch. At goal perhaps Pilkington, who has a strong shot, or Johnson?
NWC 240 Posted July 9, 2011 Gotta be Bennett for me as well.
Norfolk Mustard 94 Posted July 9, 2011 We now have so many talented players with a dead ball we''re going to be thoroughly spoiled for choice. Whenever we get a free kick within shooting distance I predict a riot!
Mervmeister 18 Posted July 9, 2011 Bennett by far!!

Wooftie 0 Posted July 9, 2011 Lappin scored a few when he first joined, and when he went out on loan. He''s got a really good left boot on him, you can see by the quality of his crosses!I seem to remember that he hit the post last season with a great freekick! He doesn''t take them very often, as I think they usually give them to Chrissy Martin...
Canaries Utd 0 Posted July 10, 2011 Lapin... ha ha ha, stop it, my ribs are hurting!

SnakepitCanary 0 Posted July 10, 2011 Pilkington has a fantastic left foot, so he would take the right hand side free kicks, Bennett the left hand side free kicks. Really excited about both of these players after seeing clips of them.

Yes he has got a good one in the sense he can whip it, curl it, smash etc however he doesn''t really put it to good use IMO. As far as I''m aware he has only scored one free kick for us against Luton away quite some time ago. Also his crosses usually are pretty poor. Next time he plays (if he does again) you watch his crossing, for every one he gets right there are about 10 well over hit. I''m not even going to mention his shooting because it''s terrible. I''m not trying to criticise him but I don''t think he has a left foot as good as some people make out. I would say the best part of his game is his determination and winning the ball. Morisons Prozac 0 Posted July 10, 2011 Against MK Dons Lappin scored a goal from 60 yards but the ref disallowed it because Chrissy we adjudged to have fouled the keeper, wrongly in my opinion. Had that have counted it would have been crazy.
CDMullins 436 Posted July 10, 2011 The Loch Ness Monster as been spotted more times than Lappin as taken a good ''set peice''
