Minster Canary 0 Posted August 8, 2010 Is Cody elegible for this one? I saw he wasn''t in the squad yesterday, is he injured? What sort of attendance will we be looking at for this one? I can''t see more than 12,000 turning up, £12 for an adult against a League 2 team is a bit much, however I''ll be travelling from Herts for it.Also, will we have a completely different XI out from Friday or do we think Lambert will try to keep some consistancy within the team? Many questions, I know - just curious. alysha 0 Posted August 8, 2010 I''ll be at the game, and I hope they will put out a strong side which will give the first team more time to gel and hopefully it will be a good performance which will boost confidence ahead of Saturday
mrs miggins 0 Posted August 8, 2010 i think we will have the same team with same formation, but fox will sit back alot more1-0 win
Pabs 0 Posted August 8, 2010 I reckon we will see about 13,000 there. Still loads of tickets left on the online ticketing page. Club should have done it as £5 for adults, like the JPT last year. Can''t moan at kids for a £1 though.I think Lamber might make a few changes to keep things fresh. Maybe we will see Askou, Francomb, K Smith?
waggers 0 Posted August 8, 2010 Had we had a convincing win on Friday I think we would have given some of the players who didn''t feature against Watford a game. Given that we lost, I think PL will pick the strongest team he can. We have to get into the winning habit quickly and we also need a cup run.I''ll go for a 3-0 win. Lincs CR 0 Posted August 8, 2010 I can see him keeping the same side apart from bringing in Holt for Jackson. Personally I wouldn''t mind seeing Korey Smith take the holding role, but giving his ideal starting XI as much time together as possible is essential I suppose, especially as it''s a cup match which obviously is still important, but not as important as the league. McNamees attitude 0 Posted August 8, 2010 Crofts is playing for Wales the next day isn''t he? Gill for Crofts with Gill DM and Fox moving to RM. Holt will start if fit but not sure who for as Jackson may well get a start against his old club.
moodyblue2 0 Posted August 8, 2010 Hi, Gillingham fan here. Just to let you know that Cody McDonald is injured, got a knock on the ankle in training and hasn''t featured for us yet this season. Even if he was fit we aren''t allowed to play him against you as it''s part of the loan deal.We will be playing a reasonably strong side although our main strike Adebayo "the tank" Akinfenwa isn''t fully fit yet so will probably be on the bench. We are likely, therefore, to line up as we did on Saturday with a 4-5-1 formation. 18 year old Stefan Payne being the lone striker, supported by attacking wingers Chris Palmer and Andy Barcham.Having said that Hessenthaler may opt for playing a few fringe players like Kevin Maher, Danny Jackman and Mark McCammon. Unfortunately I can''t make the game but hopefully, whatever the teams it will be an entertaining match.Good luck for the rest of the season.(If anyone wants any banter you are all welcome at http://gillingham.clubfans.co.uk/forums.htm Registration is free but please read and abide by the house rules. Cheers!)

Brendo 0 Posted August 8, 2010 Akinfenwa. [:D] What a tank! He''s the player we need in for cover for Holt. [:)]

[:S] I suppose this could be true as they would have known the draw before the deal for jackson went through!
