Surman Etc - and the pitch invasion

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to say that after watching some of the one touch approach play against the fat northern monkeys, between Surman, Martin, Hoolahan and others, things are looking good.Surman particularly looked very gifted, strong, balanced, able to run, and good vision.  If we can pass and move like that in the league, then we will be ok.I know its only a friendly, but the shape and personnel are now in place, and with a limited budget I think Lambert has built a quality midfield.  Fox is at the bottom of the diamond for his distribution rather than his tackling, and away from home in a dogfight, Crofts could play there as well and battle.  Add to that the obvious creativity of Surman and Wes and its a shining diamond. The  attack of Martin, who is obviously a year older and more confident, and Holt, with the pace and evident confidence of Jackson (a bit of an Earnshaw for me) in reserve and I think a top half finish and maybe a crack at the play offs is very possible. On a separate note, surprised nobody has mentioned the guy who ran the length of the pitch.  Rather funny, as nobody bothered to stop him, and when he got to the river end, he did not know what to do and was escorted out y a single steward.  Who was that utter tw*t?

Ha! That was brilliant. My thoughts are that he''d had a few too many sherbets and could see we''d won the game, so he just went for it. I think the guy probably lives that side of the City and just wanted to get closer to his house [;)]

I''m guessing it was a City fan who ran on the pitch? Did he do anything i.e approach players, or just run across the pitch like a loon?
It was Tangy, someone told him his brolly had been seen that end.
With all doe respect to Mr Tangible fixed assets, said invader showed a turn of pace I doubt he could muster.[:)]

Now then Lapp i really do think you should be a little bit careful taking the juice at Smudger''s flip flops as he might just ask about your injury. My lips are sealed so to speak but anyway how are you getting on with using one finger on your computer?

I think that picture flatters him - he ran straight past in front of us and he looked more heavily built and less fit to me.

Sorry to hear he gave some aggro to the stewards.
