Lincs CR 0 Posted April 2, 2010 1 or 2 I would imagine... it wasn''t violent conduct and was hardly a cynical challenge... regardless young Rudd has a fantastic chance to prove himself ready for next season
WeAreYellows49 0 Posted April 2, 2010 I don''t know I too thought it was 3 for violent conduct only
Lincs CR 0 Posted April 2, 2010 Was it Vermaelen lately for Arsenal who got a straight red and only served a one match ban? The match-ban rules are as confused as tonight''s ref ;)
Pyro Pete 2,353 Posted April 2, 2010 Just the one game, probably. I don''t know if being sent off once before counts against him.
Charles 0 Posted April 2, 2010 Professional foul. Fairly certain its one game
WeAreYellows49 0 Posted April 2, 2010 A red card is the heaviest punishment the referee can give to a player. The offender must leave the field at once, and he may well be banned for at least one further match. Once he is gone, he cannot be replaced by a substitute; his team must continue with one less man. In the English Premier League there is an automatic three-match ban, although players can appeal against this.Because they are so powerful, red cards are reserved for very bad behaviour such as violence, abuse or deliberate cheating. A red card can stain an entire team’s performance in a tournament, taking their players out of crucial games and sapping the morale of the squad. The offences that warrant a red card are defined in FIFA’s Laws of the GameBeing guilty of ‘serious foul play’ (for instance, a very dangerous tackle). Violence. Spitting at an opponent or other person. Denying the other side an opportunity to score by handling the ball. Denying the other side an opportunity to score by fouling a player. Offensive or abusive language or gestures. Players frequently criticise the referee’s decision to ‘book’ them and it is quite ordinary for a yellow card to be upgraded to a red when they argue against his decision. The system of coloured cards was invented in 1970 by a British Referee called Ken Aston, who came up with the idea while waiting at traffic lights on Kensington High Street
Mister Chops 7 Posted April 2, 2010 Professional foul = 1 match ban.
Lambert is King 0 Posted April 2, 2010 Not 100% sure but I think you will find normally 1 game but as his second red of the season I think it goes to 2 or 3 games
HazzaJet 267 Posted April 2, 2010 I think it''s 2. It looked like a professional foul to me (1 match ban), but he was sent off against Gillingham earlier in the season and when you pick up your 2nd red of the season I think that you have to serve a longer ban than before. Bungay Canary 0 Posted April 2, 2010 why worry declan looked good he knew that shot was going to hit the bar and would be nice to see a norfolk lad in goal when we do get promoted
pennywise 0 Posted April 2, 2010
Professional foul = 1 match ban.
well thats alright then bloody hell i could go in goal against stockport and keep a clean sheet [:D]
Lambert is King 0 Posted April 2, 2010 It is now confirmed as a 2 match ban due to the sending off against Gillingham
AJ 1,358 Posted April 2, 2010 It would be a one match ban for a professional foul, but because he has already been sent off this season, it gets extended to two. At least it gives Rudd a few games.
