Squire 0 Posted March 6, 2010 In my childhood days (some would say I''m still in them) I confess to being a bit of an anorak. Living in close proximity to CR (then as now) I had several opportunities for anorak indulgences; among them, train spotting (steam in those days), coaster spotting in the Port of Norwich, and autograph hunting at stadium CR.My collection of autographs include the Man Utd team, plus Busby himself, that we beat in 1959. The Busby Babes were in the process of rebuilding after Munich one year earlier, but were still a great team. Pride of place however, goes to my Stanley Matthews autograph, acquired when he played for Stoke at CR (1963) in the twilight of his career. He remains the oldest player, at 50, to play in the top division of English football. Safe to say, I think, that no one will ever top that.

Sing Up The South Stand 0 Posted March 6, 2010 Think my best ones were Wenger/Seaman after a friendly and also Alan Shearer which someone got me when I was about 9 or 10.For me personally, being the sad thing that I am, when I met and got Westlife''s autographs last year that tops most things. But less said about that the better!
