Our Songs/Chants

...are pretty poor at the moment aren''t they? What ever you feel about what league we are in and who owns the club etc etc we need to be united as fans and we need to be singing our hearts out for the lads.

However, with all the new signings we have very few good songs to sing other that our ''On the ball city'' 25 times a game or ''we''re the barclay...we''re the snakepit'' rubbish''. Even the player songs are a little predictable with the ''Eadie, Eadie'', ''Iwan, Iwan'', ''Deano, Deano'', ''Leon, Leon'', ''Earnie, Earnie'', ''Greeno, Greeno'' originality. Sometimes we plump for the odd ''Oh Jamie, Jamie'' tune. One adopted for Korey Smith at the weekend I believe!!

Come on guys can''t we do better?? I''m certainly no song writer but we must have someone within our 24,000 crowds that can come up with some decent chants...

There have been plenty of suggestions on these boards for new songs, and the best has to be the Goran Maric to the tune of Frank Sinatra''s Love and Marrige.

It is hard to get new songs  for players with revolving door on a spin cycle for the last few years.

Yes you are, you''ve just given four examples of doing just that. Why don''t YOU come up with something original.  And if you don''t like OTBC, one of the oldest songs in the game, then I suggest you''re in the wrong place.

I agree, that''s why I think we should adopt a few more club anthems like links 1 and 3 above. The players change but hopefully our club will always be here!

OK I AM! Most football songs are recycled by other teams.

I think you''ll find it''s three examples but good attempt all the same.

I love OTBC but not 25 times a game. We used to pick Portsmouth up on having only the one song, my point is we need some more. I have made suggestions and admitted I am know songwriter, I am looking for input not pricks like you getting all defensive.

I always admire people when they put a chants post on, but can someone answer me and say has there ever been a song sung at Carrow Road by our fans that was invented on here?

I know where the bloke is coming from though, all we sing is OTBC, green army (or the army, something like that), when the greens go marching in and whats it like to see a crowd.

I don''t know about songs coming from posts but several of recent years were composed by JG of Capital Canaries. In fact we sang one of his Saturday - We love you Paul McVeigh - & he was also responsible for some Iwan & Malky tunes.

Trouble is the players with decent songs get moved on - Malky, Iwan, Fleming, McVeigh (until his return), Hucks, Holt, Robins... sure I''ve forgotten some
