I am crying! that sentence has made my day!
This is probably an urban myth, but somebody once told me of a friend who, the family having departed for a social event, donned some headphones (so as not to disturb the neighbours), inserted the video in the Betamax (this was a few years ago) & was soon engaging the services of Mrs. Palm & her 5 lovely daughters.Inevitably, of course, there was a hitch at the social event, necessitating the family''s early return ........Incidentally, what does non-dubious pornography look like?????

Glad that Lappin is involved again, hope he has a good game.

So do I, CA, but I think that a lot of people are going to be disappointed with his performance.

He''s too lightweight (especially for central midfield) and lacking match practice. I have a feeling that, although popular for being professional and fighting for his place, he''ll fail to deliver.

That''s good and optimistic then. I don''t think he was too lightweight for Arsenal reserves, and he''s got a point to prove.

Were you one of the ones who thought Cody Mac wouldn''t step up to Champ level?

If Lappin plays, lets see what happens, he could be the only spare midfielder left without an attitude problem!
Well said Venta. I just hope he gets into the midfield rather than at LB which is not his best position. But the Lappin doubters have their support at the EDP it seems. An (unattributed?) article on the website on Gunn''s selection puzzle gives 4 possible perms for the team selection - only one includes Lappin while the other 3 all include Pattison or Fotheringham. After all that has transpired in recent weeks - Pattison or Fotheringham?!! I just don''t see it.  Is that journalist letting his personal preferences affect his judgement?

I think Lappin proved himself today. All credit to him. He had a great game by the sounds of things, even if he did tire towards the end.

Calm down, dear! I thought that he''d struggle after a long time without first team football - as it happens, it sounds like he did well. It''s called an opinion; I''ve checked and it''s not illegal to have one.

And what''s all the cr@p about Cody? I''ve always said he''d do well. Have you got an attitude problem or something? Are you short, by any chance?

What?!!!?

Well done Simon Lappin anyway!

Sorry to have offended you so much Link NR9.

I just thought your post was a bit negative, of course you''re entitled to your opinion. What you were saying was you weren''t sure Lappin could cut it at this level. When we signed Cody there was talk of him going from non-league to Championship straight away being a bridge too far. It was a comparison, I guess I made it sound like an accusation, which it wasn''t meant to be. I think Gunn''s selection of Lappin was proved right today as you point out.

I hope my attitude and height pleases you more now.

Lappin was superb yesterday, he was full of passion and made some crucial last minute tackles. I think his tackle on Bowyer in the last few minutes showed his frustration at being left out as he went through him (fairly) but was penalised for it.

Even in the warm up when shooting against the keeper he was slotting them past the keeper with a certain finesse! Long may it continue and this comes from someone who wasn''t his biggest fan but now is!
