It''s still so damn tight at the bottom. Even teems like Watford and Derby could still end up being dragged into it. 7 Games is a lot to play for.

This might cheer you up too CTID - it''s the current form table for the championship over the last 6 games. [:)]

The strugglers have been picking up pointsover the last 6, 21st place has 7 points, but we''re there in 7th, on 10 points from the last 6.   Another 10 points should do the job for us I think, as I reckon that Forest are due to drop like a stone, maybe Plymouth too.

[/quote]blackpool play soton, charlton, forest and plymouth - i''d be amazed if they didn''t pick 4-6 points up here...i reckon on the balance of probabilities blackpool should reasonably viewed as safe - as should the team above them...they are all on 46 points or better with 2 games in hand on us...if we say charlton are down - then that leaves 2 down from 4 - NCFC,,,barnsley,,,forest and plymouth...of these barnsley have 3 games in hand - but are 2 points behind...clearly a win puts them back in the driving seat...which might be as early as tomoz night - as they play palace at home...lets saythey do win - and then get 2 more points from their other 2 games in hand - if this happens...it will probably leave 2 berths for league 1 left between NCFC,,,forest and plymouth...yep - in short - its still a bottom clencher for the time being - but we have a fair and sporting chance of staying up,,,thats for sure...

The problem for me isn''t just our own inconsistency, but the way the league has gone this year - anyone can beat anyone else, with the exception of Charlton.  Looking at a specific team''s run-in and guessing which games they''ll win or lose has become nigh-on impossible.  I guess all we can do is keep hoping and wish for Norwich to continue their own mini-run until May.  And even then safety isn''t guaranteed.Its a tough old league this year, we''ll do well to survive given our plight a few months or even weeks ago.  I''m keeping my optimism in check lest it run away with me...
