Mister Chops 7 Posted January 31, 2009 Our next seven games:Away - Wolves Home - Bristol CityAway - PrestonHome - BurnleyHome - Coventry CityAway - QPRAway - BlackpoolI think twelve points from that lot would be a stretch, but that''s the kind of point scoring we need to keep away from the danger zone. Sadly, unless we sign some amazing players in the next two days (stop laughing at the back), I''d have to say:Away - Wolves - L Home - Bristol City - WAway - Preston - LHome - Burnley - DHome - Coventry City - WAway - QPR - LAway - Blackpool - D
Mister Chops 7 Posted January 31, 2009 Actually, don''t Burnley always turn us over? Make that 7 points from the next 7 games - and then we would be in the thick of it.
Crafty Canary 547 Posted January 31, 2009 I see it like this:Away - Wolves - L Home - Bristol City - DAway - Preston - LHome - Burnley - DHome - Coventry City - DAway - QPR - LAway - Blackpool - L 3 points and well entrenched in the bottom 3. This assumes that our wonderful board ensure no further signings.

Branston Pickle 4,149 Posted January 31, 2009 Christ on a bike you lot can be depressing. This league is average at best and the single most disappointing thing about this season is that we''ve not been in a position to take advantage of the fact. Wolves apart, none of those fixtures is particularly daunting; yes there are some reasonable sides in there, but as to us being ''entrenched in the bottom 3'' after this run, it is not particularly likely that even if we had a poor run we would be that far behind the pack (and could even still be in it) - you have to remember that the sides around us are no more likely to win their games than we are. Whatever you''re having I''d like some too. In our last 5 matches (Forest - Doncaster) we have scored 8 goals with only 1 from a striker. If our midfielders and defenders dry up we''re stuffed. Might explain why we concede so many as the defence and midfield have to do the forwards job as well.

Two of these were under Roeder with his harsher regime. Surely, to be ''fair'' and consider the Gunn regime as being a ''fresh start'' (of sorts) we''ve scored 7 in 3. We posed little threat going forward and even taking the last 3 games into acount our forwards have contributed 1 goal. Hopefully Killen will make a difference otherwise I still struggle to see our defenders and mid-fielders scoring enough to keep us up.
