lucky green trainers 0 Posted September 18, 2008 imo semmy had a very good game against brum, and then made way for ozi - but on last nights performance, if semmy doesn''t get his place back on saturday, my eyebrows will be raised off the top of me ole bonce...also, the goal we leaked late on at plymouth seemed to arrive out of a failure to clear a hoofed ball into the city pen area - imo ozi was under it, but didn''t seem to clear it away... btw, i''m not picking on ozi here, just saying semmy deserves another crack at the first team starting 11...
Agree with you on that.Semmy did nothing wrong against Brum and Ozi is making too many mistakes, particularly getting caught in possession.I think they''re both questionable defensively,to be honest, but Semmy would give us more on the overlap. Matt Morriss 69 Posted September 18, 2008 Im picking on Ozi here...and i have been all season. Last night he offered absolutely zero in attack, altho to be fair he was relatively solid last night for a change in defence, and when i say that i mean i didnt see an awful lot of mistakes, apart from the first 20 mins, and obviously maybe he only appeared to look ok cause QPR went down to 10. He''s made numerous mistakes this season that have led to goals, the Blackpool penalty, Clingans 2nd pen vs Cardiff was his fault, gettin turned horribly on the edge, he was involved in the plymouth goal, failing to clear, and he wasnt exactly blameless last night for the free kick, the ball went straight thru him and in.Its truly amazing he''s in the side ahead of Semmy, a full time conctracted player. James Kent 0 Posted September 18, 2008 I tend to agree that it''s hard to see how Omozusi is a better player than Semmy. I also agree that Semmy offers a lot more going forward which may have made difference against QPR.
I would have no objection to Otsemobor regaining his place back, however watch the brum highlights back. Otsemobor lost his man on the goal and was about a yard away from him giving him a free header. Otsemobor''s main weakness is his heading, he seems to lose out on a lot of headers where he should perhaps do better. This is the reasoning behind starting Omuzuzi i''m sure
Syteanric 1 Posted September 19, 2008 Semmys a winger playing out of position.. stick him on the right wing with a decent full back behind him and we''d do very well!jas :)
Shaun Tilly Lace 0 Posted September 19, 2008 I prefer Semmy but even if there was very little separating the two players in ability, surely your permanently contracted man has to be 1st choice in the team. Glenn should only favour loanees when they are obviously better than what we''ve got, good examples being Kennedy and Bertrand.

Croft would be a good winger if he could actually cross a ball or pass to members of his own team - I just wonder if Otsemobor could put good crosses in on a regular basis? Tetteys Jig 851 Posted September 19, 2008 We mite as well try him out! Only 3 pts to lose, and so many potential more pts to gain if he does do well
Shyster 0 Posted September 19, 2008 Otsemobor should''ve started against QPR and God only knows why Chadwick hasn''t featured so far this season when it was he, and Otsemobor, who played in most of the matches that was the winning run which kept us in this Division last season.More bad decisions by an inept Roeder.
