yellow blood 0 Posted August 12, 2008 Just a heads up for all those planning on travelling to MK tonight...check the matches off before you leave as there has been one hell of a downpour this morning and it''s still throwing it down! Drive safely because there is loads of standing water on the roads.[st][li][um]
Hooleyfan 0 Posted August 12, 2008 Glorious sunshine here in East Herts now after the early morning monsoon and the forecast is getting better for tonight so hopefully no problems, but you are right to suggest checking whether the match is on. However I would expect MK Dons as a new stadium to be well constructed, drainage wise and not like Hillsborough, which you may recall had its flooding problems preseason last year. I trust any bad news though to appear at an early point on this message board...but looking forward to a good trip to MK Dons this evening. OTBC
SnakepitCanary 0 Posted August 12, 2008 This is a good point, but I don''t think it will be called off. It''s a new ground with undersoil heating, so the game should be ok to go ahead!
Mason 47 1,925 Posted August 12, 2008 I have to cycle to work in this...Should certainly be interesting! Good luck anyone drving up to the game, and hoping we get the good win that a performance like at Coventry deserved![st]

Evil Monkey 52 Posted August 12, 2008 Ah yes, the fair city of Norwich''s ability to cope with extremes ofweather - or the lack thereof. Admittedly the reaction of thepeople to torrential rain is slightly less hysterical than when itsnows! Good lord, the whole city comes to a standstill the first timethere''s a spot of ice on the floor! I remember a few years ago readingabout possible plans to install under-road heating to solve the problem- erm, maybe try keeping your eye on the weather forecast and get thegritters out pronto! Works everywhere else...I do love it, but at the same time its nice to not be held up in such times....
