No more crosses on hot cross buns?

Although Nike’s “playful” update of the flag is another unfortunate example of wokery trumping tradition, patriotism and plain common sense.  Anyway, anyone fancy a gesture egg?

Out of interest why is the change to the flag 'woke?'

Is it because it has some purple in it?

I seem to recall many a play on the union jack - grey and blue monochrome versions i..e 2012 Olympic kit.

Is that 'woke' too. What about 'Mini's' rear lights?

Totally manufactured culture war insanity/ absurdity.

I do get people might not be a fan of changing the flag but I'm confused about what specifically about this change qualifies as 'woke.' It basically seems like certain colours have been designated by certain people as 'woke' (purple, pink, anything a bit bright) because they are on the pride flag?

In the union flag the red comes from the English flag and the blue comes from the Scottish flag. If you mix blue and red, you get purple and lilac, so it's symbolically offensive to nationalists who are resistant to further mixing of the cultural nations.

I went to my newsagents to pick up my supply of pornography mags. The newsagent quietly informed me that he'd hidden my copy of the Telegraph inside the Razzle.

We got woke scones now from the Daily Fail.

National Trust secretly makes all its scones vegan - while critics condemn 'woke' use of vegetable-based spread instead of butter.

I was quite amused that there’s a market in Kent for Chinese copy Nike England football kits where they’re removing the purple cross and ironing on a red one.

The argument made to me is the George cross is red. That’s it. It makes sense when you think about it. Nobody would sod around with the Scottish flag like this. And God help Nike if they did something like that to the US kit.

Play around with the design of the rainbow flag. I’d imagine that would cause a Twitter pile on

Didn’t Lawrence Fox, self-promoting idiot that he may be, cause exactly such a Twitter pile on for his own “playful” version of the rainbow Pride flag?  After all, haven’t The Met decreed that swastikas need to be taken in context?
