Yobocop's Big Post of the Week: Unwritten NCFC Headlines!

Recommended Posts

Greetings fellow Canaries,

Big Post of the week returns for a one off Comic Relief special!

In this edition of the Big Post of the Week, we're delving into the realm of missed opportunities in headline writing for Norwich City stories. Imagine the headlines that could have been, the puns left unspoken, the wit untapped.

For instance, when Lukas Rupp departed Norwich, why didn't the headlines scream, "And That's a Rupp!"? Opportunity missed, I say!

Now, it's your turn, Norwich faithful. Share your best untold headlines, the gems that slipped through the cracks of media creativity.

Yours in headline justice,

Yobocop

Always thought the binners missed an actual trick not singing that during the game, would have been hilarious.

Speaking of past players and wordplays, I'm sure there's something that can be done with Erik Fuglestad and "birdie", somehow, considering that in Norwegian, "fugl" means "bird" (and it's "fuglur" in Faroese). And considering we're the Canaries.....

But I'm drawing a blank at the moment. Can't quite wing one.

EDIT: That all sprang to mind within seconds of putting the Kjetil on. My brain's ability to free-associate like hell on occasion can catch even me by surprise.

That's a cracker. To be fair, their announcer came up with a cracker when we beat them 3-0 at their ground when the lights went out temporarily when the song Blinded By The Light came up.

Why Pukka pies didn't capitalise on Teemu's status and come up with a (curried) GOAT filling I've got no idea.

"There goes Robert N. LiM, I must remember to thank him."

Just to be clear, that brilliant headline wasn't mine - just something I saw on Twitter.
