nutty nigel 7,902 Posted February 6 Haven’t seen this posted apologies if I missed it. Great stuff when Sainz wins the throw in. That was right near us. Not seen the like since Emi was here. 2

Satriales 993 Posted February 6 Sainz could quickly become a huge fan favourite! Enjoyed his celebration. Seens a bit touchy about his haircut though, someone put their hand on his head and he immediately checked it 😂
BroadstairsR 2,273 Posted February 6 (edited) The thing is all of Sargent, Sara, and Saintz were all bought with Premier League money and in spite of the fact that they did not, by today's standards, amount to massive lay-outs we could not have them at the club without our PL experiences, as miserable as they turned out to be. Let that be a reminder to all those fearing promotion. A Championship club losing money could not have considered these purchases in the first place. Slight correction as I think Saintz might have come on a free (not sure) but freebies cost more in signing on fees and wage demands in any case. How would it play out? Maybe by making life uncomfortable for the team during games? Perhaps there are a few then... But I don't think those ones are renewing

Mason 47 1,921 Posted February 6 Great watch, that. Can say anything else about this group but they definitely all want to pull in the same direction. Head coach to boot.

I'm still a bit traumatised from the last two relegation seasons and am not thirsty for a repeat of either of them, but absolutely accept that, handled properly, even another season like that should see the club in a better place. And it might give us another season or two of Rowe, Sara and Sainz. I'm not ready to say goodbye to any of them. Or the Sarge, or the Gunn.

Will keep any powder dry about being anything like emi so far. There are Sainz though.
Robert N. LiM 6,274 Posted February 6 Have I got the geography of the ground right - was Sainz massively giving it to the Coventry fans after his goal? What was that all about? He's certainly got some, um, edge, that boy, hasn't he?
Corbs1 167 Posted February 6 Didn’t he put in a couple of tough tackles on Sacramento , in front of the sky blues.

I looked at their forum match thread on Sunday and they all hate him haha.

Proper captain. 1

BroadstairsR 2,273 Posted February 7 Taunting opposition fans, either at home or away, could lead to trouble. It should be made a bookable offence, just as taking off the shirt was. We seem to have a great player on our hands, his total "involvement" seems to contribute to this. A bit like Emi in that respect, so there is no need to or hope of changing that It's part of the package, but he will need to draw it in sometimes. Kenny's timely involvement emphasised this.
