Even for you it must be getting increasingly untenable to hold to this position. Throw a goal and an assist for Idah into the mix and your head must be pretty close to exploding. No, no no no no! @GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary is right! He knows far more than Wagner and all his coaching staff. Far more than Dean Smith and all his coaching staff. Far more than Daniel Farke and all his coaching staff. Far more than Daniel Farke and all his coaching staff x2 at Leeds, plus their scouts who presumably have also given the thumbs up on this one. And ignore the fact we're 2nd in the league too, we're winning games in spite of Mclean, don't you know? 😉 2

Kenny Foggo 1,175 Posted August 29, 2023 I hope he stays as hard to replace this late on in the transfer window and I don't want to see us improve a potential promotion rival.

I dunno, plenty on here have argued with me for years that he significantly weakens a team with promotion ambitions 😉
Conrad 223 Posted August 29, 2023 Well I voted for him as PoY last year and am not embarrassed to admit it. He is even better so far this year. That is not to say that we should not be looking for an improvement though, but that applies to all our players. Unfortunately realism has a part to play, so now is not the time.

Sorensen and Gibbs are just as good, is the epitome of underrating him! Maybe Sara has looked so good this season because Kenny is playing so well? And if Gibbs and Sorensen are just as good I image we'd probably accept £4m for either of them wouldn't we? But there are no such bids, or even interest, that I've heard of. Yet again people are putting their view incorrectly, I’ve said he’s playing well and deserves his place but in this confident and winning team it’s easier for others to slot into! Just look at Idah, scored one and set one up, Barnes effect? Im saying they’re just as likely to fit in and look as good as McLean in a system and confident team! We will see as it’s likely to be a period where he needs a rest or might be hampered by a niggle. Would I sell him for five million, you bet your **** I would, I then go and get a replacement like Branagan who yet again is carrying Oxford! But that’s just my opinion! Just look at Idah, scored one and set one up, Barnes effect? This is still **** about face. Wagner has a system, the team is well drilled, they know what they need to do and McLean is an integral part of that. That is not easy, he hasn't slotted in, McLean is part of it. It is not the Barnes effect, it is a result of identifying a system and the identifying the players to play in that system from 1 through to 11 + subs. That is why Tzolis and Mumba are gone, and it is why it isn't easy to replace the key constituent parts. McLean is one of those parts until we can source someone better. But that is not cheap or easy.

I don’t want to change my record, so for clarity, he only looked good because of Sara!😂😂 (Kidding was MOM today!) Edited September 16, 2023 by Indy
hogesar 10,536 Posted September 17, 2023 He carried the team second half. Captain responsibility seems to have suited him. More of the same please!
