Wonderful memories of this game. The guy in the ticket office told me they could have sold 50,000 tickets. 

The quality of players on the pitch that day on both sides was extraordinary compared to League 1 today.

Howson, Johnson, Snodgrass, Becchio.

Leeds really were our feeder club for a while.

Bizarre, isn’t it?!

I did wonder at the time if Nelson wasn’t a bit lucky to escape punishment for that boot to the head on Becchio…not that I spent any time (then or now) complaining!!

Wow, we crossed the ball and scored from a header rather than trying to pass it around their entire defence. Forgot we used to do that!

Some rather suspect quality finishing there, apart from Martin. What a finish.

What an atmosphere that day, and great to see the Messiah at the helm.
