If he was given the job I have a feeling it wouldn't take him long to fall out with our journos.

He gets poor Paddy into a fluster. Seems ok with the others😂

First thing Michael Bailey asked him about was his drink driving brother and dismissal from the England role. Pretty sure it's why he made sure to comment that today's was a 'good' question.

To be fair, Bailey's question about the England situation in the first press conference was a top journalistic question too and imo Russell could have answered it more fully....."water under the bridge" "made a mistake but have moved on".....kind of stuff.  MB was being a good journalist.

The point is there’s no relevance to a two-game spell heading up Norwich.  If he were full time then investigate away.

Fair enough, but it was a press conference and MB was making the point that it was the first time anyone in the press had been able to ask him about it. Not a big deal, but a fair question imo.

Absolutely it's a fair question. He got in the passenger seat of his own car, and allowed his drunken brother to drive it at speeds of over 100mph in a 30mph limit. It's a miracle that nobody was killed, especially considering he hit another car head-on.

EDIT: full story here if people aren't aware of what happened. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/news/scottish-news/7391256/aberdeen-coach-allan-russell-brother-crash-jailed/

Cheers for the link, I'd heard bits and pieces in the last few days but didn't know the details. I also didn't know that it was the reason he lost the job with England, but it seems like both brothers quite rightly paid the price for their actions in the end.

I still don’t see the relevance of this for a stint of two games as manager. The only response would be to flat-bat it which he did, so a bit pointless.
