BroadstairsR 2,166 Posted August 14, 2022 (edited) Rock bottom with one of the most expensively collected squads in the league, with some of the most highly paid players in the league, and after one of the easiest starts possible. A manager who has yet to achieve anything at all at the club, whose record is one of virtually constant defeats, and who seems to have nothing to offer that instils success into a group of players who should be doing far better. It is proving to very difficult putting a finger on one single positive that this man and his team have brought to NCFC to the extent that they could well be one of the worst things that has happened to the club in recent times. From hoping to scrape enough points for survival in the Premier League to being desperate for a win in the Chumps in less than one year. What an awful performance. What a feckless squandering of talent, finances and aspirations. 'Give him time, give him his own squad, etc.' we all cry. 'He needs a fair run in order to prove his worth,' we all say (in hope rather than judgement?) whilst he shows absolutely nothing to justify this faith. I am beginning to think that this train of thought is actually dangerous. There are so few positives. "We are getting better," we are told. We were already better, surely.
