Not given those soulless, cold, suicide-enabling bastards a penny of my money in the first place.

I won't even wear my old Norwich shirt with Dafabet on it now after watching that Merson documentary.

Christ almighty talk about an over the top drama llama.

Good kills. You gonna ban food adverts? Ban food?

Alcohol kills. You gonna ban that?

Cars kill. Ban adverts for them? Ban them?

Pathetic.

Re this thread title - thought that was a remix of this great rap! (much prefer the original!)

You've got to hold and give but do it at the right time
You can be slow or fast but you must get to the line
They'll always hit you and hurt you, defend and attack
There's only one way to beat them, get round the back
Catch me if you can, cause I'm the England man
And what you're looking at is the master plan
We ain't no hooligans, this ain't a football song
Three lions on my chest, I know we can't go wrong

Fraid not Monty - but for the purists he would be much better than the JB rap!

Well, the partial cash out of £25k, followed by another £100k were Liverpool to have go on and won both trophies seemed a pretty generous offer. Particularly as even were they to have come good yesterday, there would still have been another hurdle to cross before collecting the full £367k...

Food and cars serve useful purposes as well.

As for gambling and alcohol, I wouldn't have any issue with an advertising ban. I'm someone who likes a beer and gambles occasionally, but generally I feel that our vices should be legal but not promoted and encouraged.

It's just a basic harm reduction strategy, whilst allowing people to still live free lives.

That £125K would have a big impact for a lot of people. Apart from being ok with losing the stake (which is the starting point for all bets, isn't it?) how much more would the extra money have made a difference to her life (some, obviously) but enough to gamble a generous cash out? Not for me, so I'd have bene happy with the cash out offer

People who eat too much and drink too much kill themselves. People with gambling addictions often leave people around them in financial ruin, even if they don't actually get to the point of killing themselves, which plenty do. This has been a growing problem since the feckless deregulation of gambling 20 or so years ago.

The industry pays lip service to encouraging 'responsible' gambling, but the reality is that it's nothing more than lip service.

‘Ruby (Don’t take your love to Town)’ was, of course, famously written by Kenny extolling people not to support Ipswich.
