yellow_belly 227 Posted November 2, 2021 (edited) Hi, I have gone all LDC and decided to keep Farke. Why the change of heart? After reading much on here.. I have realized that nothing will actually change. Smith & Jones and Nephew Tom will remain in post for ages. Webber will remain for a short while before Neil Adams takes over. The club will remain a Championship club flirting with promotion and relegation. Etc etc. So I may as resign myself to keeping Farke. He may be a useless PL manager but seems a lovely chap compared to a Roeder type and better than a Grant or Hamilton type. Who knows what Neil Adams will want when he takes the helm, and this will be a new exciting chapter. I can’t see many points but I have resigned myself to the status quo. Hopefully we can beat the mighty Brentford! Edited November 2, 2021 by yellow_belly
Christoph Stiepermann 1,261 Posted November 2, 2021 His style of football will never work at this level and he's not very good at coaching the type of football he's tried to get us playing this season so for me if we ever want to have a chance at this level he has to go. So why now and not after he gets us promoted again? Because he's passed the point where he's lost the fans, both home and away and the players are utterly dejected and don't know what to do every game, managers don't come back from that point. We also won't be going into the next Championship season with cheat code players like Buendia and Skipp and Pukki will be another year older, all the players will know they can't play in the PL so will struggle for motivation to get promoted and after such a humiliating season Farke will never have the same support and rapport with the fans so it won't be like the last 2 times, I'm pretty sure it will be like AN's last season wins will be greeted with indifference and losses and draws with booing and there will be a cloud of negativity around the club. Pay him off and make a change now before it gets nasty and he can leave amicably with his dignity and reputation in tact and get a new man in who can try to get us playing better football that may be more effective at this level and if not we can build with fresh ideas for next season. This is just what I want though, it won't happen, the club will drag this sorry affair on for as long as possible because they always do, causing unnecessary damage to the club and the relationship we have the the manager and players and we won't be able to attract the same caliber of coach when we're definitely relegated with less games to go instead of now when there is still a faint chance if we act.
canarycop 232 Posted November 2, 2021 After the debacle of Chelsea we had to wait days for SW to say something. After Leeds, again no one in higher authority says anything. Acceptance of failure I am afraid at the highest level. If my clients continuously criticised me I would be out of a job. If I performed poorly on a regular basis I would be out of a job. I wouldn't get a multi million payout for being poor at what I do. I would be scraping around for another job. DF has done great for the club but now he has run his course. This for me is indicative of modern management. Don't rock the boat or upset the applecart as you may hurt someone feelings.......and we cant have that can we !!!!

canarybubbles 2,199 Posted November 2, 2021 Yes, he's gone already. Too many fans don't want him. Why delay the inevitable?

There’s not a lot you can do about the situation so why give a hoot?! I like your style! Farke in!
Dean Coneys boots 1,531 Posted November 3, 2021 Eddie howe would be interesting. I too like DF but his time is up. He’s lost the players and it’s now about when not if
