None of us on this thread are extreme left. Please learn about political beliefs. Well done, Herman. At last someone got my point. Until I posted, this thread was full of mentions to the far-right, led by our former Trade Union Secretary. The idiots are actually on both ends of the spectrum. The far-right holocaust deniers tend to be lunatic individuals, lone-wolf operators. But as you can gather from the link I posted, the far-left holocaust deniers tend to be more organised, in this case with close links to the Labour party. Also your chum in his post alluded to my being a holocaust denier. A remark that would see him in court if we were not posting anonymously. Stop trying to rewrite history. https://www.snopes.com/news/2017/09/05/were-nazis-socialists/ https://www.abc.net.au/religion/nazism-socialism-and-the-falsification-of-history/10214302 https://www.britannica.com/story/were-the-nazis-socialists Or you could listen and learn from Hitler's own words instead of following those who wish to rewrite history. Throughout the duration of the war Hitler referred to his party as the National Socialists - they originally grew out of the socialist German Workers Party - and he was still referring to National Socialists right up to the very end. In his speech on the 25th anniversary of the formation of the National Socialists, as Germany was collapsing and one of the last he gave, he said: "But let there be no doubt that National Socialist Germany will carry on this struggle until the end, and that will be the case this year when the historic turning-point comes." "We shall live only for the task of liberating our nation from this distress, of reconstructing Germany’s culture as well as her National Socialist life. It is our firm will never to cease working for the true people’s community, far from any ideology of classes"
Herman 9,842 Posted February 26, 2020 They weren't socialist. Hitler purged any socialist element quite early. They were a fascist, nationalist, extreme right wing ideological party. This is easy to understand. So why are you trying not to?
Hoola Han Solo 448 Posted February 26, 2020 Dock the Boat desperately trying to turn the N azis into anything other than the right wingers they were. You have to wonder about the motivations of this.

Anti-history, anti-science and anti-common sense seems to be far too prevalent. I did think the flat earthers were a bit of fun for a while until I realised they were serious. Is it simply the Internet giving tin foil hatters a bigger audience to spread their nonsense further? There are some flat earth groups who do it for a laugh, a few of the uni societies were set up ironically for a share of union funding so they can spend it on beer. There are some that are deadly serious.

Rock The Boat 1,332 Posted February 28, 2020 Oh dear, oh dear. The Mid-Norfolk Labour Party now celebrating and sharing the quotes of Joseph Goebbels. It doesn't matter how hard the leadership try to keep a lid on it, the anti-semitic rank-and-file members, like a Corona virus, just won't be contained. As the EDP points out: https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/politics/mid-norfolk-labour-party-quote-****-chief-joseph-goebbells-1-6536156 A Norfolk branch of the Labour party has suspended its social media accounts after posting a quote from a **** propaganda chief. The Mid Norfolk Labour Party has been criticised after sharing a quote from Joseph Goebbels, the head of propaganda, on its social media pages. The quote, which was first published on Facebook on December 28, reads: "There was no point in seeking to convert intellectuals. "For intellectuals would never be converted and would anyway always yield to the stronger, and this will always be "the man in the street." "Arguments must therefore be crude, clear and forcible, and appeal to emotions and instincts, not the intellect. "Truth was unimportant and entirely subordinate to tactics and psychology." The quote was posted alongside the caption 'propaganda lessons from 1930s Germany that still work today.' Since resurfacing, the quote has been liked and shared more than 200 times on social media with many people slamming the Labour Party.

However, you’ve failed to condemn the casual racism and homophobia dished out by the leader of the Tory party. Funny that 🤔
