It's Character Forming 1,161 Posted February 28, 2019 LOL my current ad says "We're clamping untaxed cars in Nottingham" which is a bit like looking in your rearview mirror and seeing a police car right behind you

Orly 277 Posted February 28, 2019 I like the pompous feeling I get from whitelisting the Pinkun on adblocker. Feels great to support quality, local journalism (cue League of Gentleman quote) with absolutely no effort on my part. Well, I'm being a bit harsh on myself actually, I bought the most recent pinkun magazine, and that took at least 3 clicks and £5 odd.

And I'm pleased to report both my and Mrs ICF's cars are taxed

One minute after midnight call the fuzz if they've forgotten to renew in time. 1
......and Smith must score. 1,343 Posted February 28, 2019 My neighbour's rusty old white van has just been clamped but having it untaxed since May last year is perhaps taking the p*ss....
Icecream Snow 761 Posted February 28, 2019 Over the new year, the guy next me to came back to find his golf clamped, because he hadn't paid his road tax.
keelansgrandad 6,679 Posted February 28, 2019 Not quite an ad but the chap who played the organ at my Wedding was the Chief Public Health Inspector for Norwich, and his name was on the side of all the Corporation Syit Carts. His name was J H Smellie
Herman 9,765 Posted February 28, 2019 Should I be worried that Amazon are advertising stuff to me that I had been looking at recently on other, unrelated websites? Or is this par for the course nowadays

It's Character Forming 1,161 Posted February 28, 2019 Lol amazon normally sends me adverts for stuff I’ve bought recently ... on Amazon. Maybe they get some takers but why would I want to buy a book or piece of tech that I’ve recently bought?
