nevermind, neoliberalism has had it 159 Posted January 19, 2013 Oh dear 4inches of snow and life stops. Yawn, what a bunch of lazy excuses from authorities and teachers and and and.
nevermind, neoliberalism has had it 159 Posted January 19, 2013 But.... the photo is ''photo-shoped'' Canadians drive on the right and trees look like they are growing on top of the snow, nice job though....:)

Herman 9,825 Posted January 19, 2013 If Britain had the same, regular amount of snow as Canada we would get used to it.Saying that, people panic buying is a tad pathetic.
nevermind, neoliberalism has had it 159 Posted January 19, 2013 Great photos, as always, shrimper, thanks for that, that''s even too thick for a snow blower to get through.Talking of snow blowers, afaik there is only one in Norfolk and its owned by a farmer, not the authority. SHRIMPER 328 Posted January 19, 2013 All through the Adirondacks is one of my most favorite areas of the States nevermind. I will post some pictures of the autumn when all the leaves are changing colour, magnificent! I will post them in the photographic thread if I can find them. My family has a summer home on Lake Champlain that I also like getting to from time to time and taking our boat up to the Fort Ticonderoga area. I will also post some from that area some time. Herman 9,825 Posted March 23, 2013 This winter is really getting on my tits now. Never ending cold and dreariness. Some of us have to work out of doors and normally would have a good summer as compensation, but we don''t get them anymore. Not happy!
Wings of a Sparrow 1,428 Posted March 23, 2013 I''m getting pissed off with the BBC exaggerated negative snow coverage.Last night they had a reporter (in Halifax I think) who had found a gap in the hedge where the snow was blowing off the fields and was claiming it to be a blizzard.Meanwhile behind him it was not snowing and the roads were clear.I know the snow can be an inconvenience but really this was over the top ridiculousness. AJ 1,229 Posted March 24, 2013 Sensationalism = viewersViewers = moneyI never watch the news, most of it is over-exaggerated, and a large chunk of it isn''t even ''news''.It is more entertainment than factual these days in any shape or form
